This cable does not have the inline Volume control that the original cable has. While that is a nice feature, I can live without it if the cable is of great quality. I adjust the volume on the PC or Smartphone plus I do not constantly change the volume.This cable is stronger than the one that comes with the headset. My original cable got damaged when I stood up to walk away while it was connected to my PC so it broke just above the connector on the PC side. That was my fault but when I look at that cable (still has it) and compare it with this cable, I can feel this cable is tougher, no bells and whistles, it just does its job.In terms of audio quality, I like what I am hearing. My Astro A40 Tournament edition is back in business.

I purchased two of these cables mid December to replace my broken Astro A40 TR cable, they worked as a replacement but both cables broke incredibly quickly. Starting off as crackling audio and then losing audio in one ear entirely. I'm writing this at the end of the first week of January and both cables are now broken.I purchased this because Logitech don't have any cables in stock at the moment but from now on I'll try a different product instead.

I am extremely impressed with its quality. The build of this cable surpasses that of the original one that came with the headset. Unlike the original cable, which would sometimes still pick up audio even when muted, this cable completely silences the microphone when muted. Quality of the cable was not great, very thin cable compared with the cable that was supplied with the original a40tr I had bought.I had this wire replacement delivered in July, it is august and the wire has defects now leaving it completely unusable and me needing a new replacement, I bought this as Logitech were out of stock, I will now wait for them to stock the wire before repurchasing this wire as I expect a replacement to break in a month again.

bought 2 of these in the past month and both stopped working the exact same way, works fine then out of nowhere the right side of my headset stops outputting sound and just have sound from the left, just buy a proper cable, don't waste your money on this rubbish, not worth the worry of moving your head slightly just to have it break for no reason.

This cable is highly durable I use this cable for my headset as I’m streaming so it gets threw around quite a lot. The sound quality is amazing you would think it was directly from Astro. Cable plugs into the headset and mix amp with ease making gaming even easier.

Doesn't work proporly, mix sounds static and is barly picked up

Do not buy this. Cable broke after a month of LIGHT USE!!! Hate getting ripped off with this cheap stuff, doesn’t even work with the mix amp when you mute with this cable the mix amp doesn’t change colour.
