BellroyTokyo Tote - Second Edition (Laptop Tote Bag, Casual Shoulder Bag, 15L)

This is a great tote for everyday pack. The tote doesn't stand on its own due to its narrow base, but that makes it easier and less bulky to carry on the shoulder.

I love this bag, I haven’t even had a chance to use to go into the office yet but I am obsessed. The color is even better in person than in pictures. The bag is a little bit crinkly but it’s nothing too bad, I love that it’s made from recycled materials and has a lower carbon footprint, but still feels very durable and high quality.It’s able to fit a 40oz Owala water bottle in the pop-out pockets and even a 40oz Stanley with the handle. And the second pop-out pocket I have filled and then closed up so everything looks a bit more clean, it fits my 11” iPad Pro with no problems and could easy fit the 12.9” version. My work laptop at 14” is a bit big and gets in the way of the zipper to close the bag up so a 13” is the better fit but this still works for my needs. The picture next to the bright orange bag is my Alpaka go along bag, and the bag inside is my Alpaka go along mini for tech organization, which fits in the pop out pockets and the laptop pocket if I really wanted it out of the way. I can’t wait to make this my EDC for work and more!I know it’s a bit pricy at $130 but I believe it’s worth it. I’ll be using this bag for years to come.

I love this bag. It is extremely well-made and I expect it will last a long time. It’s a comfortable length as a shoulder bag. It easily holds my laptop m, notebook, small handbag with essentials and water bottle. It’s an attractive alternative to a knapsack. Will check out this brand’s other offerings.

The Bellroy Tokyo Tote is the perfect bag for work. I carry electronics, papers, and books in my backpack and use this tote to carry lunch, coffee, and water. The cup pouches in the tote are very useful. On days when I want to minimize, I can use the tote to carry everything because the bag has extra pockets for a tablet and accessories. This bag is so convenient for carrying cold and hot drinks that I bring it to my office every day. The one problem with this nearly perfect tote is that it is a pain to wash. This bag is not machine washable. I have to hand-wash the bag, and because of the waterproof material, rinsing and air-drying takes some time. Is this a great bag? Yes, I can’t go to work without it. Is it a bag that needs to be taken care of? Yes, you will be stuck with a bag that does a great job of carrying your items, but you will need to be careful with drinks that you put in it.

RETURNED. Lovely bag, I really liked the design and the quality and the amount of pockets. It was exactly what I wanted but THE LAPTOP DIDN'T FIT.I measured, I re-measured, I read the reviews, I knew it was a gamble. The laptop that Bellroy says will fit did NOT fit. I have a 14 inch Thinkpad. That means the screen is 14 inches diagonally, and the laptop is just a hair under 13 inches long. It was about half an inch too long to fit in the pocket; the zipper would not close around it. Whatever device you plan on carrying in this bag must be 12.5 inches long to fit vertically in the laptop pocket. Again, this DOES NOT FIT 14 INCH LAPTOPS.

I’m using someone else’s office to see clients a few days a week. . I’m constantly toting files, cell phone, laptop, chargers, water bottle, appointment books, and notepads back and forth from home to office, and needed a professional-looking but stylish bag I can use for work, as well as accommodate items I’d normally carry in a purse. This is that bag. I love it.

I have tried so many bags to keep my items organized and schlep them to school/work/etc. and this one is so well designed. Comparing it to totes/backpacks I have from a luxury luggage brand, the Bellroy Tokyo Tote is much more functional. The light colored interior helps to make any items in the main large compartment visible, as well as the pockets. The pockets are awesome because they are structured to allow them to stay open, so you can slip an item in and out of a pocket without needing to hold it open with your other hand. Two of the interior pockets, on either side, are able to each hold a water bottle.The laptop compartment holds my 13” MacBook and my iPad at the same time, and it is padded substantially enough that they won’t get crushed if I accidentally slam my bag onto the floor or against the airplane seat. The zippered outer pocket is the perfect size for a phone and keys. The straps are long enough to fit over a coat in the winter, and there are small grips to prevent the straps from slipping.The bag holds an incredible amount of stuff without feeling too big or bulky. I would 100% buy again.

What I love:This bag has one outer pocket and six interior pockets. It easily fits my iPad inside but could hold a small laptop as well. The tote is made of sturdy materials and feels like it will last a long time. The shoulder strap is comfortable and the bag looks fashionable. Great color selection.What I don’t love:I can’t zip it closed with my large binder inside - I would need a smaller binder. The bag looks like it is made to stand upright, but it doesn’t. I have to lean it against something to keep it upright.Would I buy another one? YES.
