It clicks, it fits, it’s easy to install, and it’s durable.Our original gas cap’s security belt broke. We live in a windy place and I was fed up with the cap blowing away and under the car at the gas station. Crawling on the gas station floor is not high on my list of places I’d like to be.This replacement was inexpensive so I ordered it thinking it would be easy to install. It was, but I recommend watching a self-help video on YT before starting. Our Honda Pilots clip that holds the belt in was really finicky and the process took a little trial and error.We received an alert that the gas cap was loose 1 time on the first day. Got out of the car and clicked it tight with extra force and haven’t had the alert again. I think the brand new o-ring needed to soften a bit for a better seal.Overall a great product that I’d recommend!

My gas cap was stolen Thursday night at the inner city hospital where I work. Security had to come clean the area. Ordered this Thursday replaced by Saturday morning. Great fit easy to attach. Appreciate the fast delivery. If your gas cap is gone and door open don't touch it with bare hands. At this hospital it's a common way to rob employees.

This was a perfect fit for my 2015 Audi Q5, and was much appreciated, given that the OEM replacement is around 60 bucks!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My original gas cover lost it's "string" so I got this hoping that I wouldn't have to hold the cover in my mind as I pumped gas. Immediately, it was a struggle just to tighten the cap as the rubber holding the "string" didn't spin. I had to fight with the closing gas tank cover and the string just to close down the cap. Within minutes, I got the gas cap warning on my dash. I figured it was just me not fighting with it hard enough. I stopped the car, really fought with it to get it tight then prayed that my car got the best gas mileage ever so I wouldn't have to battle it out again.Over the next few weeks, I got more warnings that the cap was loose. I'd ignore them, then the next time I drove - no warning. Later, it would return. Finally, I had to get gas again. I fought with the cap some more (it was difficult getting it off after tightening it down), but I got it on. This time, the warnings were mostly gone (not entirely) so I resolved to just keep it and prepare myself for battle every time I got gas.The THIRD time I got gas, the cap fell apart, but not so bad that I couldn't push the top on and still turn it shut. I carefully shut down the cap, hoping the I was going to be able to lock the cover into the base solid enough to turn it open. It worked the FOURTH time, but the hard rubber "string" broke off just as I tightened it down. I could've just kept the original!The FIFTH time I open the cap, the entire cap literally just came apart. Everything. Not just the cover, which I could lock into the base, but the cover, the base, the screw-in part. Right outside my car, below my filler tank, on the ground, I had about 7 pieces scattered all over. It was brutal cold winter up north, so I gathered everything up, took out my original part (which I kept since this replacement immediately had problems) and I haven't had a problem since.Long story short: Don't buy this.

Works perfectly as original cap but the line that holds to cars 1-2” longer as the original. I have to shut fuel door a little to attach the cap.

Reason for purchasing is because the gas cap that came originally with the car needed to be replaced and the replacement sold at autozone their duralast brand was causing the check engine light in my vehicle to come on because there was not a proper seal. With this the check engine light issue was resolved!

Works great - easy install. To attach the lid to the gas door, you will have to take the small clip off your gas door - you may need a small curving tool to push in the sides to allow the clip to come off as there is very little clearance between the open door and the vehicle. Then you can open the clip and insert the end of the gas cap cord into the clip, close it and push it back into the door. Insert your gas cap and click - check to make sure your car starts - and you are good to go!
