Could have been packaged better.
The product arrived in a padded envelope. The inside of the product box looks stained. The bottle was slightly sticky, and drawn in on the sides. Appeared to be sitting on a shelf for a period of timeThe product itself worked very well. I had to search a bit for information on the mixing ratio. I would have expected the info to be on a label or the packaging. Once that information was located, the product proved to be everything that I expected from it. Good product!

This is a great surfactant!
This a great surfactant! If you are looking for a dye free,, fragrance free cleansing solution this is it. I add 6 drops to a calcium hydroxide solution for document de-acidification and cleaning. The photo show the tannins that were removed after a single rinse of a wrap.

very little information provided with this product
I recently bought a new record player. When I pulled out my old records though - they were all in need of a cleaning. I read on a description of uses for this item that it could be used to clean records. There were no instructions on the "recipe" for this, or any other use actually - but after a quick search on the good ole internet, I found this:1 gallon of distilled water32 ounces (one large bottle) of 91% IPA and1 ounce of technical grade Triton X-100.After cleaning with the solution, rinse with straight distilled water. And just for the record "IPA" is Isopropyl Alcohol - not Indian Pale Ale Beer. LOL. I am assuming that this can be mixed and put in a spray bottle. I know that there are some ultrasonic record cleaners, or record cleaners that have a Bath that the records spin though. I guess it would be possible to put this solution in those - but i honestly don't know. I would encourage individual research on this.As for any other uses for this product - I am unsure what exactly they are. I know the advertisement listed various uses, but not product information was included in the package other than what was printed on the box it came in. I do wish that there was more information included with the product - because truthfully - I am a little be scared of it now after googling it. When I do use it - I will use with caution and wear protective gear while handling it. hope this helps in some way.

Great for cleaning vinyl records
I use this to clean glass labware and vinyl records.Mix with distilled water and isopropyl alcohol and a small amount of this to deep clean any vinyl album/record.A little goes a long way. I may never have to buy another bottle but if this ever runs out I definitely will.

Great price for a college lab!
Triton X100 at a great price - huge container which will probably last me until retirement! This seems to be of the same quality of any other Triton I have bought but at a great price.

Lacks warnings on the bottle.
So I'm not going to lie, I got a little nervous when I looked at the bottle and it basically says it is "not for household use" and then has no other real warning or any helpful information on the bottle. So I had to turn to the internet. And this is what the Bing AI had to say (cut and pasted below)Triton X-100, also known as octylphenol ethoxylate, has several hazards associated with its use. Here are some important points to consider:Eye and Skin Irritation: Triton X-100 can cause irritation to the eyes and skin. Direct contact should be avoided, and protective equipment (such as gloves and goggles) should be worn when handling it.Environmental Impact: Triton X-100 is not readily biodegradable and can persist in the environment. It may have adverse effects on aquatic organisms if released into water bodies.Toxicity: Although Triton X-100 is considered relatively mild, prolonged exposure or ingestion can still be harmful. It is essential to follow safety precautions and handle it with care.Respiratory Sensitivity: Inhalation of aerosolized Triton X-100 can cause respiratory irritation. Proper ventilation is crucial when working with this substance.Health Risks: Triton X-100 may affect the liver and kidneys. Long-term exposure could potentially lead to health issues.Remember to consult safety data sheets (SDS) and follow recommended safety practices when using Triton X-100 in the laboratory or any other setting. If you have specific concerns or need more detailed information, consult with a safety professional or your institution’s safety guidelines.End of pasted info.It also arrived with the measuring cup broken not that it gave you any information on how to mix it so again. I'm relying on the internet to assist. Now you might say... well it clearly says it is for Laboratory Cleaning and it does but they also have a picture stating "HOMEMADE HOUSEHOLD CLEANER Easy to mix with warm water and quickly remove stains, grease and grime." That is why I got it for other purposes. I have a small farm and stains, grease and grime are a perpetual state of being. So, thanks to the internet, I am able to mix it up (with my gloves on) and use it and as it is a chemical surfactant it does a great job on grease. Now they could do a much better job on sending it along with some literature and maybe there was supposed to be some with it and I just didn't get it, but I'm kind of struck by the lack of warnings on the bottle itself. Not even a standard flush your eyes with lots of water if you get any in them.
