Fantastic Build and Features! Safe, Super Easy to Use, Fun, and Quick.
The media could not be loaded. Enertwist builds the best products. I haven't found another manufacturer who puts so many well thought features into their products. I was super excited to learn they were coming out with a Cordless Electric Knife as my family is making homemade, super soft bread on a daily basis, and it's a challenge to cut with a regular bread knife. This knife is so cool. You can't pick it up without being impressed with feature after feature. And it's so fun, you won't want to put it down once you start.Features that I fell in love with:-It arrived nearly fully charged; we topped it off and it's stayed fully charged after several uses combined with a week's worth of standing by, I don't think we'll need to charge it often, and it definitely doesn't need to be kept on the charger in order to always be ready! Also, it's getting used daily anyhow so it's not like we're gonna dig it out from the bottom drawer to use it once a year for Turkey, like a conventional corded electric knife. It's just too easy, fun, and convenient to use. Also, on the charging note, You can't help but like the three ultra-bright charging lights on the handle. The one important question about anything that charges (is it charged?) is answered big and bold every time you turn it on.-Safety. The recessed power button that you need to press for a second or two before it turns on, means you'll never accidently start the knife, period. Then, and this is the best feature of the entire knife, it has a soft start and instant stop... when you squeeze the big operating button you get a smooth steady ramp up of the blades reciprocating. What may look intimidating to try is actually very approachable in real use. It is so smooth and steady. Also, as noted in the feature description, the knife shuts off after 30 seconds, so neither you or anyone else in the kitchen is going to accidently start it after you set it down.-Ergonomics. It doesn't look ergonomic, but once you pick it up and start cutting you never think of how you're holding the knife again, it just becomes part of you; and I'd say that's the true definition of ergonomics. The LED light in the front helps you see what's going on no matter what position you're working in. You have a sense of total comfort and control. So much so that I would rather my 8 and 12 year old daughters use this knife instead of conventional knives.-Easy Blade Removal. One reviewer said they could not get the blades out. ENERTWIST may have overdone the safety feature on this one just a bit, but if you know about it, it's a breeze. The release button for the blades has to be depressed very deep, until it bottoms out, then the blades come right out.-Function- effortless and precise. I can cut perfectly straight and even slices of our softest bread.-Verdict - Our whole family loves it, and we look forward to years of using it :)

Sleek attractive design a bit heavy for me due to battery
I almost returned it. I am beginning to get arthritis in my hands which would explain my initial challenges with this unit. But after several uses, I am adjusted and convinced myself the "no cord" outweighs the heavy battery. Also, the control button seems awkward, but again, I have adjusted. Be careful with the plug for some reason I keep bending the connector by accident. Still works fine and looks very sleek in my kitchen!

All of the above.
BUY IT!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars because the manual needs work. I almost returned it - the lights are confusing - BUT - their Customer Service people are EXCELLENT. I read all of the reviews, and the positives are correct; and the negatives from people that should never be attempting to use any kind of power tool at any time. The "Safety" button in purely genius. And the button to remove the blades is actually better and easier than my old Cuisinart [corded one -- has finally quit after about 15 years]. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go wireless, but it is infinitive better and easier to work with. We won't know whether it'll stay with me as long as my old one did, it'll still easy enough to get a new one.I gave it the ultimate challenge - a roasted turkey; also a huge loaf of crusty bread. NAILED IT, and zero power issues - never slowed down a lick - just like the energizer-bunny. Plenty impressive, so I'll call it one very fine knife indeed. I recommend it, and once again, if you any questions, connect with their CS people. They speak normal, straight language - and if you don't like it, they'd return it. But believe me, you won't! And here's a CODA: It's been several months now, and I DO LOVE this thing! (As opposed to the only time I'd use my old one, was for large dinner parties.) But now, I use it all of the time, especially with my favorite crusty rye bread - it's always ready to go. Holds a charge for a LONG TIME without messin' with it. And when it's time to give it charge, it's short time -- like 40 minutes. As I said in the beginning, BUY IT!! You'll in the fan membership club, believe me.

Very powerful and decent battery life
I use this as a bread, knife to cut up croutons to feed the birds. I buy French loaves and cut them into little quarter inch squares to make crouton type bird food. The knife works perfectly for that. I cut up two loads a week. The birds absolutely love it. Anyway, this knife works perfectly, and has plenty of power to last a couple of weeks before I have to recharge it. Well worth it. Thank you. Update 1/23/25. Has stopped working purchased in August 2024 has 2 year warranty. Contacting vendor will update.
