Wonderful Book!
This book is wonderful!STUNNING photos-and geographical locations of same with top of the line page quality including…ClassificationHistoryUsesPrehistoryBiologyIllustrative diagrams…and more I am sure to find as I read and learn through it!This is exactly the book I was looking for!Other books are mostly very expensive tomes for students, represent only specific geographical areas or are small very basic books. If you fall in love with this book, I would then suggest ‘Entangled Life’ by Rupert Sheldrake, but AFTER not before. This a beautiful, well thought out hardback, which manages to bridge the gap between the curious amateur and the biology student.I am enchanted!!

A very beautiful and informative book!
I'm a visual customer, so the cover design and message often have some impact on my purchase of a book. This book has a beautiful cover design and color. More importantly, it's content is very thorough! Along with beautiful illustrations, photographs and diagrams, the concept of the lichen is greatly enhanced. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in lichens and natural history in general. Well done!

Great book on lichens
A series of 1-2 page vignets covering all aspects of the biology of lichens. Very well illustrated and designed. Not an identification book.
