A really nice sized toy for the little one
This little hippo vehicle ended up being bigger and sturdier than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It’s held up well throughout the weeks that we've had it without any problems. Our little one is able to ride on it as it does have wheels, so she does find it fun going back and forth while ontop of it (the wheels can't really be adjusted in direction, so you have to lift the hippo to change course). The hippo comes with a large assortment of chunky building blocks that are easy for small hands to grab and build with. The hippo also provides a nice base to start building on which is nice - it feels very cohesive and interactive because of that. One fun feature is that the eyes light up in different colors when you push the handles, which just adds to the fun for the kids. In general, I was surprised at the durability and build quality of the hippo itself—the plastic feels textured, but not in a rough way, and the edges are all rounded. The blocks are quite angular, but since they're a large size and easy to handle, our little one hasn't had an issue with them.I'm very happy with this considering the variety that this offers.

excellent choice for toddlers who are just starting to explore building and imaginative play
Pros:Interactive and Fun Design: The hippo-shaped ride-on toy is adorable, engaging, and easy for toddlers to enjoy. It’s designed with safety and comfort in mind, offering a stable base for little ones to push and ride around, promoting active play and motor skill development.STEM Building Blocks: This toy isn’t just about riding! The Locbloc blocks add a creative, hands-on element that fosters STEM learning. Kids can use the blocks to build various structures, which helps enhance their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities.Durability: The toy is made from sturdy, high-quality materials, ensuring that it can withstand rough play. Parents can feel confident that this toy will last through countless play sessions.Easy Storage: The hippo’s body doubles as storage for the blocks, keeping everything organized and tidy. This makes cleanup easy and ensures that the pieces won’t get lost as often.Bright and Colorful: The vibrant colors are appealing to young children, making the toy visually stimulating and exciting to play with.Cons:Limited Block Variety: While the blocks are fun and useful for building, there may not be enough variety to keep older toddlers or more creative children engaged for long. Parents might need to purchase additional blocks to maintain the challenge and interest as their child grows. No Steering Mechanism: The ride-on part of the toy doesn’t come with a steering mechanism, which could make it a bit tricky for kids to navigate in a specific direction. This limits how interactive the ride-on feature can be.Size: Some parents may find the toy to be a bit bulky, making it more challenging to store if space is limited. However, the storage space inside the hippo for the blocks does help mitigate this concern.

My little ones new best friend
The media could not be loaded. Love this guy, he makes my little one giggle and keeps him occupied whilst playing. The hippo eyes lights up when you press the handle, and gives a silly sound - 6 in total - and you can feed the hippo the blocks - which is good for storage too. This is great fun and great value at just £27 at time of review

Its robust, high quality construction looks like it can endure a childs most enthusiastic play session. With its jolly colours lights & sounds, it keeps my little one happy for ages. The various play options & ideas really encourage them to think & experiment. It nutures their imagination. Then at the end of play, everything goes back into Mr. Hippo. Even this is a game too!I really wish I'd had one of these when I was younger!

Small but great fun
The media could not be loaded. I was a little bit disappointed when this hippo brick toy arrived as it was quite a bit smaller than I expected for a ride on toy (my son in the photo is 2 and a half for comparison). It is far smaller than all other ride on toys we have purchased in the past but still relatively study. Great feature that the bricks can be stored inside the hippo as well as attached to the back, nose and inside the hippos mouth. My children enjoy playing dentist and pressing the button to make the hippo make various noises as they pull the bricks off the pegs. Really lightweight so easy for little ones to pick up and move around. This also makes the brick towers a little more prone to falling over. A little pricey at £28 in my opinion but a fun little toy. Would recommend.

great quality, fun and engaging
Love this hippo-shaped ride-on toy.It is perfect for toddlers, fun and interactive design that promotes both active play and motor skill development. Older children might get bored with it but is very popular here.Feels very stable, making it safe and easy for little ones to push and ride. The building blocks are fun to play with and encourage hand-eye coordination and problem-solving.Feels like it will last and should stand up to rough play and the built-in storage for the blocks keeps everything organised. In terms of negatives (though love this toy!) the block variety could be better and the lack of steering limits creativity for older children, however it’s a colorful and engaging toy overall.would highly recommend
