A writer's dream...with a suggestion for the manufacturer
I learned how to type on an old school typewriter. I appreciate and am accustomed to the sound of the keys clacking, the angle of the keyboard, the distance of the keys...it's as though my typing has improved by using this keyboard. I use it plugged into a usb port charger at my desk, so the battery issues mentioned by others are not a problem for me. I find the response time between typing and the letters showing up on my ipad 13 pro to be instantaneous. I also appreciate not having to worry about accidentally deleting long notes or emails because my fingers accidentally touch my mousepad the wrong way as I do when using my MacBook Pro. So far I am very pleased with the look, sound and feel of this keyboard. It feels more substantial than other brands I've purchased, and certainly the angle of the keyboard makes it as close to using a typwriter as I remember. A wonderful functional and tactile experience so far.Improvement suggestion to the manufacturer: add a USB port so one can charge whatever one is using while the keyboard is plugged in. I like knowing I can write for hours and not have to worry about breaking flow to charge my iPad, or the keyboard, for that matter.

Perfect!
This is nice and heavy! It is exquisitely made and worth the money. The batteries do not last long at all. My batteries died with two weeks and I used the keyboard maybe four times for a total of 20 minutes, combined. The battery compartment is very hard to open. I’ve almost broken my nails everytime I try to open it. The Bluetooth works flawlessly and the lights and light design is so much fun. I purchased the green typewriter and it is such a rich color. This feels like a top quality typewriter. I love the sounds the keys make. It makes me so happy. The knobs work effortlessly and the return switch is a lot of fun, too.I use this connected to my MacBook Pro with the cable because it is much easier this way. I am so pleased with it. I’ve had it since October. I initially had the partial aluminum one, but I wanted to get the full aluminum and I’m so happy I did. Both products are amazing, but the full aluminum was much heavier and doesn’t move easily while typing.

Not worth the cost
This keyboard looks nice and has the retro vibe I was looking for - but for the price, the construction feels cheap, and it goes through batteries like nothing I've ever seen. I've had it for 3 days (mostly using it for work) and it's gone through 2 sets of AA batteries already and it's flashing again wanting the third set. I'll be returning this.Update: I decided to order the Qwerkywriter to test it out as well and, yes, it's more expensive than this one but it actually is everything I wanted this keyboard to be. If I were doing it again, I'd just go straight to the Qwerkywriter.

Wow!
I love this typewriter keyboard!! I was nervous about getting this because of some of the reviews I read, and because there have been so many products I’ve bought that looked cool in the pictures, but were of very poor quality. I am not disappointed!I like that it only has white backlights. Other similar products had a bunch of colors and if I want a light show I’d go to a Pink Floyd concert. Also, this is the only one I could find that has an angle so that it looks more like a genuine typewriter.I like the way the keys feel under my fingers. Bluetooth connected immediately. The manual says that the USB port is for connecting your tablet in “wired mode” but I have a charging cord plugged into the port and it works so that I don’t have to use a bunch of batteries.I do wish the return lever was a bit more stable. I’m glad I read the manual that said to be gentle with it because it can break off if used with too much force. At one point while using Microsoft Word, the arrow keys stopped working. I don’t know what happened but after about a half an hour they started working again. Also, one of the keys must have popped off during shipping but it wasn’t broken and pushed right back into place. Below I will list potential cons that people reading the reviews may want to know, but don’t bother me because I love the typewriter experience so much.Cons:- Some of the keys are slightly higher or lower than the others.- The letters aren’t centered. I think this is a feature for people who aren’t familiar with a keyboard that’s not on a screen, so they can see the letters/numbers.- The shiny plastic is easily smudged. As I said, these are not deal breakers for me, but I thought they were worth mentioning for other buyers.I usually don’t write reviews—especially not this long! It’s a testimony to how impressed I am with this product. Shipping was fast too.

I love the look and feel but....
I absolutely love the look and feel of this retro keyboard! I love the sound the keys make! I love the fact that the little bar on the top left is movable and you can use it as an enter button. It's fun lol! I would've given it five stars however I did read a review where the batteries only lasted two days. I find this to be true! I was shocked! I don't want to return it though because I really like the features on it so right now I just have it plugged in. I was told I can actually get more expensive batteries to put in it which I have yet to do so if I do, I'll come back and leave another review to see if they actually work.
