This was perfect for my granddaughter who was learning to play the saxophone and needed Christmas songs. Arrived on time and she loved it!

The arrangements and the notations are easy to understand. I learned some great songs.

This is a really good beginner’s book. Could have a higher level of difficulty, perhaps with different songs.

Good selection, lots of various numbers by many artists/composers of almost every genre that exists in music.That said, there is only the basic theme of each selection except for only 7 that also have guitar chords.One more (admittedly) very minor thing: There is a list of all the selections on the back cover that corresponds to the order of the selections in the book, which makes sense; but as the selections in the book are not in alphabetical order, it might have been better to instead list the selections on said back cover IN alphabetical order.As of Feb 25th, 2025: This book of 70 selections costs $14.99, while the "101 JAZZ SONGS" also for alto sax costs $13.60, and which I think is a better choice, especially since EVERY one of the "JAZZ SONGS" has the guitar chords.
