Q: what are the ingredients?

salt, vegetable fat, potato starch, fish powder, yeast extract, sugar, garlic powder, parsley root, celery seed, onion flavorings, herbs-parsley and tarragon, fish extract, fish oil, vegetable oil, detros, herring smoke flavoring. I bought it becasue of of the chefs on the cooking network recommended and to make Paella. I've only used it for paella and clam sauce and I found it worked well in both dishes,

Q: How many cups of stock does this make

The box said 450ml per cube (about 2 cups). I add 1 cube to seafood dishes like shrimp stew or crawfish stew when I don’t have time to make a shell stock. Hope this info helps.

Q: Is this for one package, containing 8 cubes? Title is misleading, suggesting 8 pack...

I thought it was misleading as well. Usually Amazon would send 8 boxes not eight little cubes in one box....for the price, $9.00 it was a ripoff!!!!!

Q: why is the second image a curling iron?

I am not sure what is the question? Packaging? In my work for Knorr I visited production facilities all over the world. I do not recall ever seeing any image of a ''tool''. In the packages I receive from Europe and Asia the packaging is the same, except for the language. Each package has an image of the fish, animal from which the stock has been made. Hope this is helpful.
