Manhole Cover 600mm x 450mm 5 Tonne ALL STEEL Solid Top Lid and Frame (Overall Size 640mm x 490mm x 25mm)

Wanted a new manhole cover that would replace an old corroded Clark one that has a metal frame that is set into a concrete driveway. Like the old Clark one, the corners of the cover are fairly square and this fitted perfectly so I didn't have use the provided frame. Time will tell how durable it is.

This is a very good product. It's just what I wanted. My previous manhole cover had rusted and holes were beginning to show making it unsafe to walk on. The replacement had to be the same size as I didn't want to resize the original hole. This was a perfect fit. The product comes with a frame for the cover to go into, but I was hoping it would fit in the orginal frame to avoid the bother of removing and replacing it. And so it turned out. I simply dropped the new manhole cover in the existing frame and job done. There is not a lot to say about the cover itself. It's sturdy and shiny and feels robust. It's exactly as shown in the picture. The previous one has been down for around 25 years. I'm hopeful the new one will last as long.

The frame was galvanised metal not plastic. Lightweight so easy to lift good fit.
