Dante is the exact inferno I crave
With a hit on both Luca and Stella’s life, Dante decides to step up as interim CEO and Boss. Love has made his brother soft and Dante doesn’t allow anyone to get that close until Rosa. Now he will do anything to protect her from her stalker. We continue right from where we left off in first book. Rose is funny and crazy in the best ways, but her past trauma has been struggling internally. Much like Dante she uses sex to cope. Rose thrives on Dante’s “punishments”! Both these MC’s challenge one another and show different sides to each other that no one has really seen.I didn’t know how the author would make ME love Dante from his actions in book 1, but she did. Rose is the light to his darkness. It’s fast paced and never a dull moment. Just keeps getting better.

extra spicy
Dante and Rose are definitely the spicier duo. This was a good one too! Has a similar framework as the first one however the bits and pieces are different enough the story stays fresh. Dante’s actions with Stella were a hard pill to swallow however I think this book was redemption worthy with Rose. Definitely an excellent 2nd in the series however now I’m biting at the bit for the 3rd!

Villain gets the Girl
Well, this is a spicy meatball! Actually, a bit too spicy for me, but I loved the overall story and characters.Savage King is the second book in a series of dark mafia romance standalones, but I highly recommend reading them in order. Book 2 picks up a bit after book 1 and continues the drama of the King brothers' attempts to keep their empire at the top of the corporate food chain while also holding control of the notorious and corrupt underground gangs, and doing everything and anything to keep the women they love safe. It's gripping, funny, charming at times, super swoony, and intense. This story features the older King brother - Dante, and it's all villain gets the girl, sunshine/grumpy, dark and delicious vibes.Dante is damaged, angry, and savage, but so loyal to his family. He is the perfect opposite to Rose's frisky, bubbly, and sunshine personality. And, let's be real, they are both damaged with plenty of emotional baggage, but they find love and healing with each other. Rose literally brings this man to his knees, and he doesn't kneel for anyone. If dark, spicy, villain, anti-hero, all the banter, touch her and be unalived is your jam - you will love this book!

Cliffhanger…
The story of the couple resolves itself, but the trouble with the company is still up in the air! Enemies to Lovers, and was a good story but I think it could’ve delve so much more into the original villain story line (uncle) and also the ex??? So many questions. This one was ok….

holy hot
This book had me racing through the pages to get to the end. I absolutely ADORE Dante. He’s filthy, dirty, and a total badass! Rose is so relatable and friendly and open and has such a big heart. I loved their story.

Gripping but Some Elements Unlikely
"Savage King" by Sienna Cross offers a gripping tale of power and passion, but some elements strain believability. Dante and Rose absolutely sizzle and steam up the pages with a forced proximity that drives the tension, but the notion of a billion-dollar empire thriving under a distracted leader seems implausible. Likewise, Luca's willingness to abandon his throne and life's work indefinitely, without concern for the delicate balance of business and the Manhattan underworld, is far-fetched. Despite these plot holes, the novel's intensity and character dynamics kept me hooked.

loved it!
This book is definitely taking off right where book one ended! Rose is Stella’s best friend and Rose has seen Stella fall in love with Luca from book one. While book one and two are both standalone and HEA endings, it definitely helps to read book one first and gives you a good history of events before you jump into book 2.At the end of book one we see Rose and Luca’s brother, Dante, dealing with some tension and then that was it. Book two, however, sees them start off with a bang! But, of course, it’s interrupted and Rose decides she’s going to become Rose 2.0.Rose is attempting to finish school while also interning and getting a small part time job. What she doesn’t count in is a crazy stalker. This is where Dante gets into the picture more and we start to see more interactions between him and Rose. It’s like they’re both in this crash course that doesn’t seem like it’s going to end well.I really enjoyed their story and I definitely did not see the ending coming, but now that I know a but more about what’s going on, I am really eager for book 3!

This series is 🔥
Quickie Review: I just finished book 2, Savage King, in this amazing new to me series. The author is new to me as well. But she is quickly becoming a favorite. I was so scared when the book started like it did. I was at a complete loss for what was happening. But goodness, was this story ever a surprise. And so dang hot!! I truly loved Dante and Rose and I’m itching to see what happens next in the series. 5 stars!!
