Interesting read
As someone new to the idea of attachment theory, this book was simple to read and understand. The examples made it easy to understand how these attachment styles show up in everyday life and relationships. I think it's important for everyone to understand attachment styles and determine how to manage them in relationships.

For those looking to heal
This book is not a quick fix. What I like about it is you have to put the effort in. There's compelling compelling compassion in these pages. You have to sometimes read one over again. The most fascinating thing about this book is the reasoning to let you heart free of this nasty anxiety. It builds your open mind and helps set you free! It's cleaning the soul so to speak!

Oh, this is good!
My favorite Chapter in the book is the one that discusses Attachment Styles. Who knew? The author(s) discuss(es) secure attachment, disorganized attachment, and anxious attachment. There is also motion of how these styles interact with one another and what kind of dynamics that Cretes as well as WHY. I also found emotional availability important. Sometimes that issue something that is overlooked due to resentment or vulnerability. I like how he book describes this as a process r a. journey - the the work is ever-present. It's life long work to heal and apply your lessons to your life so that you can manage it rather than fear it.

I think it’s wonderful that taking care of our mental health has lost so much stigma with these newer generations. It seen as a positive to now go back and heal yourself so that you may have better relationships going forward. This book is a great way to explore the anxious attachment style. I loved how detailed it was in explaining markers from childhood, adolescence, and adult life, so that there is no question if this is you or not. There is plenty of information about how to break the cycle and grow forward in a recovery towards a more secure attachment style. There are reflection questions peppered throughout that are very helpful. it is possible to rewire your mindset and behaviors!

Healing Book
This book had me very sad in the beginning thinking of how much damage people inflict on other people. The damage parents do to their kids and the damage relationships can do. There were some very real stories about people's experiences and why they may develop certain attachment styles.The rest of the book had me very hopeful that I, and others, can take back our power and change the way we view relationships and ultimately have healthier relationships. It takes work but this book is a great starting point to understand why we are the way we are in relationships with others. If it's particularly unhealthy, there are ways to change that. Very good book that was healing to read.
