We have been looking for a new knife set to replace our old set. My wife wanted a detachable steak knife option. We had been looking for a while. Found these on Amazon and they were in the price range we were looking for. She was a little weary of the them and I reminded her we can send back if we didn't like them. We received promptly. the knives are very attractive. We love the unique handles which are very solid. We have had for a couple months now and have held up well. Some of the sharpest knives we have had. We generally always hand wash them but have mistakenly put in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues. It was also the perfect size as far as number of knives. Some sets have so many knives that never get used, this set hits all the boxes; a nice paring knife, bread knife which my wife loves, carving knife, and a couple others including very sharp kitchen scissors, six great steak knives with a removable holder which my wife also loves so we can put on the dining table during steak night.

Not sure if I can confirm if they are real damascus Steele but they are very sharp and cut there a pice or paper well holding it in the air thats is a very sharp blade

I like this set. Knives have a good feel with the handle, very sharp and cut through things like butter. Tired of knife sets that are just not sharp and could never seem to sharpen them enough. These work great and nice design. Only downside, I would have preferred the knives to not be serrated. I like steak knives that have a smooth edge, but they still cut great.

One of mine snapped in half cutting a piece of cheese

I searched Japanese kitchen knives and this came up, and it says NOTHING about them being made in China. Seem ok a few days in, but I have very low expectations.
