I attended a talk by this author at an engineering/science conference. I had never been to a a technical talk that brought tears to my eyes. This propelled me to purchase this book. This book bridges the gap between our internal space within us and outer space. The overview effect has rarely been talked about by astronauts.

Dr. Frank White has reached a "new height" when it comes to the goal of impacting the hearts, minds..., and really..., the souls of his readers! This fourth edition of "The Overview Effect" combines the exciting interviews with astronauts from the very beginning of space travel with even more phenomenal interviews since then. The perspective Dr. White reveals from the astronaut's "view", and through his own interpretation of the vision each human being can acquire, profound insights about who and why we are here. Overview effect needs to be tested and investigated. It's really important. This effect should not be taken lightly. Need to know what it is based on.

The book is famous but didn't get the book new edition in good condition

The entire book could have been summed up and the few unusual astronauts comments described. I ran out of patience.
