Precise, but very frustrating to use.
Pros:Seems to be accurateGives repeatable resultsDefinitely more precise than some other optical thermometers I've triedCons:The user interface is one the worst I've seen in my life.You never know when to press the 'trigger' to make a reading. It's incredibly backwards, frustrating and hard to use.

Inaccurate, inconsistent low readings.
I am not really impressed with this thermometer at all. Although it is well made with a good size clear display, it always seems to give extremely low temperature readings... So I don't feel like it is accurate enough to rely on most of the time, with widely inconsistent readings each time. Having tried this, I will stick to my in ear thermometer which gives more consistent readings.
