The dock does not come with a charger though so anyone using a laptop that does not come with a USB-C charger will be sorely disappointed. This was a serious disappointment to me as I could not test it fully for personal use when I bought it.The company I work for also experimented with these docks and found that they could do what they were meant to, but it is not known if these are capabale of dual screening with the laptop lid closed, someone who still owns this might want to shed some light on that area.You can of course buy the dock then purchase an additional charger for the dock if docked charging is a requirement, but you would be better just buying a different dock altogether, perhaps a Targus as they tend to be more universal. I actually bought myself a DOCK171EUZ from Targus for almost half the price of this dock and I am very impressed.The company I bought the dock from was IT LT, based in Rochdale. There was an initial bit of confusion as to why I wanted to return the dock but Liz was then helpful and understanding when I advised that I do not have a USB-C charger and this therefore made the dock useless to me.
