Update, 2 Aug 2024: Here is additional feedback after consuming this cheese. I stand by my original review, the flavor is superb, as was the customer service. However, there was about 1/2" layer of cheese right next to the rind, that had turned very hard and more importantly, had no flavor whatsoever. I considered this not edible and wonder if perhaps the cheese was not properly wrapped during the aging process.Original review, 25 July 2024: So very pleased with both the cheese and the customer service! The cheese is absolutely the best flavor, perfect age! I had requested the 6 pounds cut up in 6 vacuum sealed pieces, and this request from promptly and gladly filled!Recommend product and seller; they've earned my business!

Be sure to check the age of the Beemster you like! This was more aged than I expected.
I have purchased full wheels of Beemster in the past and loved it. However, please be sure you know what you are looking for. I had no idea that Beemster is sold at many different ages. The variety I prefer is the 6 month Beemster and if you are not careful to check you could end up with much older, harder cheese. This version, which seems to be 18 month is far too hard for my use. I gave it to a friend, which was an expensive gift.While I still love Beemster, I highly recommend that you check out the age of the cheese you like before purchasing online.
