Martin Furniture Hartford Double Pedestal Shaped Desk, Brown - Fully Assembled

Looked for a desk for a while and found what I wanted was in the multiple thousands of $$ at local stores, so I checked online and found this desk at a reasonable price. Expected it to be a bit flimsy and made w/ particle boards but was thrilled to find it is solid wood. I haven't found any particle board on it. Particularly expected the back panel would be flimsy but it is 1/2in solid board. Legs attach very securely, the drawers don't wobble at all, and the surface is beautifully finished.Only issue I had was with the delivery company on contract with Amazon. I think the delivery folks didn't want to deal with it because it's so large and is heavy so they kept rescheduling the delivery to the point where I had to threaten to return it, then Amazon got involved and it showed up the next day. Go figure. Glad they did because it really is a great desk and it was packaged like a beast so there was no damage.One note, the desk is darker in color overall than the one shown in the image on Amazon. It doesn't have the distinct wear marks you see in the photos. Not a big deal but worth noting.

Very heavy and solid! It is perfect for my home office and very classy. I love the grey top and white front. Came fully assembled and all I had to do was flip it and put on legs. It took two people to flip it and two men to get it in my house. Love it!

Awesome desk! Very well made. Very well packed for delivery. Delivery was good, 1 day early with no issues. Beautiful and I absolutely love it. Assemble was to install the feet only. Took 15 minutes. Allen wrench provided.

Solid, well built, almost completely assembled. Only had to screw feet to the bottom. Looks great. Would be nice to have a way to have cords cross across bottom unseen. Better than expected but top is gray not brown, just FYI. Wish the keyboard drawer locked in place if you don't need keyboard function. Pleasantly surprised by the flexible dividers in the drawers.I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice desk under $1500.

I bought this desk because it was fully assembled… Well, it’s fully assembled- If you don’t put the feet on, which takes a lot of manpower not to mention unboxing this desk was an absolute nightmare three HUGE bags of trash so get ready for a lot of work—-not happy that someone did not come in and install this like I thought I was getting. This desk is very heavy. They need to offer fully assembly and haul away the trash. I was going to but the bookshelf but after this nightmare no thanks. At least the desk is nice.

I've owned this desk for over 2.5 years now. And it's a very high quality desk. It has held up very well and is of very solid construction. Aesthetically, it's beautiful (I got the white/grey version). I'm just now reviewing it because, while it's a great desk, there is a detail that I think I others should know. The writing surface is 31" in height. Many/most desks are 30" in height. This is a detail that I didn't fully realize when I bought the desk. While it's not dealbreaker, I find I am annoyed by the 1" extra height. I actually had to find an office chair that raises up higher than the one I had so I could sit a little higher above it. So i'm keeping it, because, as others have said, it would be a huge pain to move it, but boy do i wish it was 1" lower.

This is a solid, heavy well-made desk that should last forever. The top finish is very attractive and it has two openings for computer wires etc. The desk is big and heavy but does what a desk needs to do.
