it was between this neewer cage or small rig since i didn't want to drop major coin on beastgrip and im glad i went with neewer. it was half the price and has the 1/4 threaded hole at the top by the cold shoe mount. big bonus as this is not advertised or mentioned at alli ordered the 17mm threaded back plate too for lensescase feels SAFE i'd add a screen protector and stick a magnet in the back the magsafe isn't as strong since the case is heavy

Advertised on official Neewer website as fitting 14 Pro/ Pro Max. It might fit the Pro, but definitely does not fit the Pro Max.Quality parts, though not as sleek as the Small Rig IPhone Cage.

As is typical with Neewer products, this iPhone cage is nicely made and very reasonably priced.Likes:* Makes it easy to use Moment M mount lenses with the iPhone* Has a few hot shoe mounts* Has a bunch of 1/4" threads available for mounting other items* It's very easy to put the camera in the cage and take it back outDislikes:* My first sample had a loose screw and the Metric size Allen wrench needed to tighten the screws is not included* Rather bulky for every day use, but that's not a big deal as that's not really what this product is meant for* The side buttons are difficult to use when the iPhone is in the cage

This will turn your phone into a professional photo/video systemThe built in cameras on the new iPhones are pretty amazing and have a lot of power, however they are severely limited by their lenses. There's a reason that professional camera lenses cost significantly more than the cameras themselves. What this phone case/cage does is open up the option to use high quality lenses on your iPhone, for dramatically better photo and video shots. For example, using Moment's anamorphic lens, you can use your iPhone to shoot a movie.Pros:- An incredible value for the functionality this gives you.- Tons of mounting options all around the cage.- Two cold shoe mounts.- The phone is protected quite well, and while it is a bit heavy for use as a daily phone case, it can be done and with the open back it works fine with the Apple wallet, and my Magsafe car mount and Magsafe charger in the house.- Once mounted, lenses are quite secure and there is no feeling that they will come off.- The case does not impact using the camera without an attached lens.Cons:- It's a bit heavy and bulky for use simply as a phone case, but if you're looking at this for lens use, that's really not an issue.Overall, this is a fantastic case that will turn your phone into an absolute photo/video powerhouse when paired with the right lenses. It comes in at an amazing price, and aside from giving you the option to mount lenses, it also gives you all kinds of functionality from mounting to tripods, adding on grips, lights, and microphones. If you want to step up your photography or videography game, this is hands down the way to do it. Take a look at the example photos I've posted that show the difference between the standard lens and the anamorphic. If you’re a serious iPhone videographer, you want this beautifully engineered and constructed aluminum phone cage.One end of the 6.3” x 3.3” x 0.7” cage flips open to allow easy insertion of your iPhone 14 Pro. The switch locking the flip-top can be manipulated with a fingernail, but locks securely.The cage is made of CNC machined aluminum, but the channel your iPhone slides into is lined with a rubber like substance to cushion against shocks. However, I don’t think the cage does as good a job of protecting against bumps and bruises and especially falls as a top-quality case.In terms of utility, the Neewer cage is an answer to prayers: two cold shoes; 6 ¼” threaded holes along the top; 2 1/4” threaded holes on the left (lens) end; 6 ¼” threaded holes on the bottom; and, 2 ¼” threaded holes on the right (Lightning port) end. That’s 16 ¼” threaded holes, more than enough to load up any assortment of microphones, lights and what have you – and you still have two cold-shoes!In short, you can accessorize your iPhone 14 to your heart’s content.One caveat: at 3.3", the cage may not fit in some gimbals or phone holders.That’s the good news. Neewer has provided adequate space around the Lightning port for even thick connectors. But there is an issue around the Power Button and Volume Controls. Each of those ports is covered by a rubber-like substance and neither control is as responsive as in an uncovered state. This can quickly become irritating.Other than that, this cage is a truly great addition to the toolkit of the zealous iPhone videographer. I love it.Jerry
