Professional filling agent - wood
This is very good stuff.I had a rotten hole in my door which turned out to be a bit of a curse I spent months trying to favour the bad freezing cold and rainy weather as the hole was on the external side of the door.I used the old school boy method of newspaper and polyfiller, after trialling and erring with a cheap filler and up to the top rated Polycell it still failed to remedy the problem. Then I gave this product a go. The thing that sets this product in a higher playing field than other filling agents is that it comes with a catlyst which speeds up the curing or hardening process, with this particular item it sets in 30 mins which is ideal for people trying to work around the old british weather and especially the winter. After it has cured the object void is totally sealed and impervious to the outside elements or mainly moisture damage which is the main object purpose for filling holes, this product item does exactly that with good results.Note that for anyone using this item and following the instructions on the back of the tin. That the catlayst or hardender does correspond to the amount of filler provided and your not going crazy with applying the same amount of filler to the catalyst bead measurement. If you need to fill a hole in a wooden application this is the stuff you need.

wood filler does exactly what it says on the ''tin"
Needed something to help fix the shed, got some softwood rot around the window frame where the water must have been standing and finally penetrated the wood!Comes as a tub, lift the lid you have a 'top tray' that pops out to reveal the filler, and can be used to mix the filler with the harder (you take some filler out the bottom, put in the top tray, add the hardner solution and mix)Application is relatively simple and provided quite satisfactory results. Drying time says 30 minutes, I gave mine an hour before sanding down and starting to refine with sanding down and filling in extra where needed. (remember to over fill the area you are working in, and then sand down to the desired finish)when making up the solution, try to gauge how much you need, as any left over will waste quickly. Also dont try to do too much in one go, as also it will harden before you fill all your gaps.If you do have rotting wood that needs repairing, suggest you also get the rotted wood hardner, basically clean up all the loose rotten wood, then apply the solution, takes a while to dry, and you'll see the wood has gone hard, you can then fill. (ronseal also do this)Definately happy with the application and use of this stuff

Does what it says on the tin
It works and I’ve managed to fill some pretty large holes in rotten boards. My only gripe for me is that it doesn’t go very far and it drys very quick. You have about 10 mins to mix it properly and apply it. Once dry it is solid and you can sand it and paint with no drama.

Filler
I dont know if i did something wrong but the lid was an absolute nightmare to open and when i did finally get it open i was disappointed to find such a small amount of filler inside. The tin was less than half full and its not as though it was some cheap stuff ! Not happy and i think i will look at something else in future

Wood status: filled
Very effective as wood fillers go.Advise using it in a well ventilated area and wearing gloves, there is a strong smell of styrene (vinylbenzene) as (one of) the solvent(s) - not something you want to breathe a lot of. You also don't want this stuff sticking to anything important or your skin and should wash it off immediately (wear gloves). The package containers the filler in the bottom, separated by a well in the top for mixing, along with a sample tube of a peroxide which will 'activate' the filler when mixed with it. (Suggested ratio is a golf ball size of the filler with a pea sized ball of the peroxide). It dries quickly and sands down alright, but it does seem to take a good few coats of paint to cover so far. All in all, I'm pleased.
