My son knows that I like nerdy things and bought me one of these for Father's Day. It is beautiful looking and can be configured for different colour displays, "breathing effects" and umpteen other modes. Mine didn't come with any instructions, but it wasn't difficult to work out how to drive it. I understand that if power is lost to the device, it has a small backup battery that keeps the clock chip running, which is a good thing. It looks a lot like an old "Nixie" clock, and since each digit has individual panels (numbers 0 to 9), these LED illuminated panels step back to the one behind when the digit changes. This gives the clock a bit of a 3D appearance. Anyway, I am delighted with it :-).
