Even my Husband installed it!!
Well made ,sturdy and easy to install (Even by my husband who is not exactly the best at DIY) A good fit for 4 steps ... His comments follow. All instructions provided and easy to follow along with diagrams and appear to be fool proof. Box inside package included everything needed including drill and screw driver bits as well as a small spirit level. Once rails were loosely assembled the ensemble was positioned in it's final place, position of post base plates marked, position of anchor holes then marked and concrete block paving drilled with supplied drill bit. Anchors hammered in, nut and washer put onto protruding anchor thread and everything secured. Took less than 2 hours including mandatory Tea break.Points to bear in mind. 1) Be careful of all the staples on the opening edge of the main box. I moved them with pincers first. 2) Instructions state anchor holes to be drilled no closer than 1 1/2 inches to the edges of concrete. Could n't quite do it with block paving but it is very stable. 3) Instructions suggest that the holes drilled with the supplied drill bit were tight for the anchors and suggested some peope used the next size bit (3/8). I tried a trial hole with a bigger bit and it was too loose but the hole drilled with the supplied (5/16) bit was fine. 4) When hammering anchors in hole instructions suggest placiing 2 nuts and washers on thread first so you don't hammer it in too far. If you do this make sure the top nut just covers the thread so you don't inadvetantly damage the thread at the top. 5). When screwing nuts on anchoor use the pencil vertically to hold the base plate cover out of the way. 6) Congratulate yourself on getting a good quality hand rail at a sensible price.
