Knowledge is power, this book is powerful!
Dr. Hansen has put together an absolutely astonishing testimony to the miraculous benefits of exercise. Many of us are well aware that exercise benefits the body in profound ways, but how about it's effects on the health and functionality of our brains? This is an eye-opening revelation, for me at least. According to scientific research results, over many years, exercise is potentially the most powerful means there is for healing, strengthening, and rejuvenating the brain and it's mental functions. It has proven to be an effective treatment for many disorders such as ADHD, depression, poor memory, etc.I am certainly grateful for this newfound knowledge, written in in a compelling, fun to read way, filled to the brim with very useful practical information. My old sneakers are soon to be replaced with a new pair of runners. I think they are going to get a lot of use!

Walk your way to a healthy functioning brain
This book shows a very clear connection between exercise and certain health issues like stress, ADHD and healthy aging of the brain. I bought it for the latter reason and found it quite useful. I did find a lot of repetition in the book. However, this is due in part to the author citing various studies showing links between exercise, usually walking or interval training, and improvements in each topic/chapter under discussion. I read it straight through but as it has a table of contents it is possible to click on the chapter you are concerned with e.g. stress and read what the author, Anders Hansen, has to say about the importance of exercise and training in coping with stress. I feel it would have been a lot shorter if he hadn't gone into so much detail for each topic but this may be what others find useful. In summary he made a very good argument for adopting a routine of regular walking as a way of improving many modern day health issues from stress to aging . I found it very heartening that something so simple could be so effective.
