As a pair of general, keep-around-the-house scissors, these FIBAsource Optic Fiber Cable Cutter Scissors are excellent. But they will not be going in my fibre toolkit as I had hoped. The reason is the belt holster. It is utter rubbish. The clip is plastic and weak, and there is no proper retention system in the holster. Instead the holster relies on gravity and The Force from Star Wars, to hold on to the scissors. I can pretty much guarantee, if I tried using these at work, I would finish at the end of the day, and either discover the holster still there, but the scissors had dropped out somewhere, or the scissors and holster had both dropped off around the site somewhere. A shame, because the scissors themselves are very nice to use.

Awful tool, went blunt after a couple of days.

This pair stainless steel scissors are designed for fiber optic cutting due to their hardened serrated blades.The scissors are well made with rubber handles and the handle holes are large enough for a single finger each to apply pressure.These scissors are so sharp they will cut through pretty much most things you want to try. The only issue I had was with the sleeve which appears an after thought in cheap plastic and fits loosely with nothing to hold the scissors in and so you may loose them if they are clipped to your belt.Overall a great pair of sharp scissors what ever you use them for.

I love these scissors. They do a great job on fibre optic cable and cable ties. Just a handy pair of scissors for softer items that get dragged or sheared by harder snips. Good strong handles with excellent grip too. But the holster is not very good. I'm just using it as a cover, because it lacks anything to secure the scissors inside.
