Wilkinson WOV06 54mm (2-1/8 inch) 2-Point ST Guitar Tremolo Bridge for Fender MIJ/MIK Strat Electric Guitar, Chrome

Perfect 2-point trem for my strat parts caster. Solid steel block and push in trem arm. What’s not to like?

The tremolo included with a TravelCaster uses a threaded screw-in trem bar, and (to me) doesn't really match the 'traveling' nature of the guitar. A press-fit bar is much quicker and easier to remove and insert before and after packing up and transport. It also is less stressful to the hardware when you repeatedly insert/remove it, versus a threaded bar.Installation and setup was fast and easy, and was a drop-in replacement on dimensions and spacing. It was swapped out and tuned in under 30 minutes. An added plus is getting the block style string saddles instead of the vintage 'bent' saddles typical on imported Fender Strat clones.Apparently the Wilkinson brand is now owned or distributed by MusicLilly, but it's affordable and reasonably good quality, with sufficient precision to make it a worthwhile upgrade when you don't want or need a high priced alternative.

This is a great bridge and looks great on my guitar. However, while it does have a the shorter sustain block for the Squier series guitars, be careful when installing on a Squier body. The screws that hold the spring retention bracket on on the backside cavity are too long and will go through the body into the pickup cavity if they are not cut down first. I would recommend removing about 1/4" to 3/8" from the length of the screws to prevent this from happening. ALSO!! The bridge posts are too long as well. They need to be shortened as well so that they will go down into the body fully. Otherwise they bottom out in the body and stick up out of the body. You may be able to find shorter ones, but I ended up shortening them all.

He specifically requested this for a Christmas gift and he loves it, worked perfectly for his guitar.

I use these for most of my builds now because they fit a standard USA 2 post perfectly and are high quality. better than the MIM 2 post which have cheap construction. nice solid tone with big block on the back and comes will all needed hardware, springs, claw, bolts etc. . . highly recommend I have bought 4 of these and will definitely get more in the future. can't beat the price compared to a USA Standard $99+ compared to under $30 for these
