I’ve used mine to check for car’s two catalytic converters to see which one went bad. Checked inside of exterior doors for temperature (35 degrees outside) to see if indoor temperature allows painting them, (60 degrees, so we’re good to go), as well as checking individual air vents at home for heat output. Also good for checking cold/ heat leaks from ductwork, doors, and windows.While no imaging you’d get from a good thermal camera, the temperature values are just as good for a fraction of the price.It’s consistent in temperature readings and easy to use: Point laser and pull trigger. Has other features as advertised.If you have specific uses where temperatures may differ influence your decision on your project, then this is a great time and $$ saver.

The media could not be loaded.  First things first, the thermometer comes with batteries so that's great. The mestek is very light & to me it looks like an aggressive radar gun but for reptiles instead 😂 anyways the first thing that I did before testing out this sucker is to change the °C to °F which was fairly easy to navigate with thee handy users manual. I tested it out in my millipedes enclosure(which stays pretty humid), then my corn snake's and lastly my beardie's enclosure, the temp seems to read accurately but the humidity gauge seems to stay the same :/

It’s pretty good expect the fact that it’s very cheap quality and doesn’t really show a big difference in the temperature.

The screen is locked and does not function. I put in diffrent batterys and pushed every button but noting works. Screen lights up but its unreadable and doesnt do anything.Im sure they get a few lemons when mass producing these. They need better quality controll when sending them out.
