Great Value & Vibrant Embroidery Thread!
What a pleasant surprise when I opened the Rainbow of Beautiful Embroidery Thread in a plastic container that perfectly housed this collection of 80 Threads. As a bonus, there was a pair of scissors, thread nets, marking pen, sewing tape measure, bobbins and stabilizer. I've heard great reviews of Smithread Embroidery Thread and I was eagerly waiting to test out these vibrant colors. True to its reputation, the Smithread Embroidery Threads stitched out beautifully with no breakage and I might add that I use a spool holder attached to the back of my machine. If you are on the fence about Smithread, I highly recommend that you give this exceptional brand a try!

Lovely Thread
I really like the thread. It stitches out beautifully. The colors are bright, and the thread is smooth and doesn't leave lint. I like the box but wish it had some sort of a dowel to hold the thread. The spools fall over, or you have to put some upside down which makes it hard to see the beautiful colors. All in all, this is a remarkable price point.

80 Beautiful Vibrant Colors
The media could not be loaded. Thread arrived yesterday. The colors were so vibrant, that I couldn’t wait to try them out. As a surprise, the box also included a large piece of stabilizer, nets, and several bobbins. Since I had just finished a project for a friend, I decided to use the same file and compare the two threads. I used a name brand thread for my friend’s project. This brand of Simthread sewed beautifully and, in my opinion, looked better than the name brand thread.I found the thread to be easy to open and also easy to find the end of the thread. It was easy to thread in my Husqvarna Viking Diamond machine, and did not fray. I had absolutely no problem with the thread. My Viking machines are sometimes fussy with cheap thread, but not this thread. It threaded and sewed perfectly. You can’t go wrong with this thread.

Thread of choice
So, I finally got to do a test sew of a design that I altered the colors for Anton Robinson embroidery thread versus Simthread's new 80 janome color assortment. Considering that I looked up the AR colors that I had on hand and look for the coordinating color from Si.thread I didn't have exact matching numbers so I tried to match the Sim third colors to the AR colors that I already had. After doing a test stitch, which my machine did not have an issue with either brand (though I did have one break with the AR polyester thread) I am going to have to say that I would choose the Simthread over the AR colors. The simthread product had more shine than that of the AR colors and seem to sit on top of the felt better in my opinion. There was one flaw in my comparison as I had stepped away from my machine and didn't realize that it was time for a color change. So the last color of some thread is not in the comparison stitch out I'm positive the colors would have stood up against the competitor though.I do like the container that my thread was delivered in. It is nice to know I don't have to find a way of protecting my threads until I'm ready to use them. All 80 colors fit in the box appropriately. I was disappointed however that my sim thread 80 janomi colors did not come with a color chart, but I can print one up I guess.
