Used for 1 Week's Worth of Pumping Breastmilk
Love this backpack cooler! We take it to the park for picnics and to the beach, but originally I bought it to transport pumped breastmilk on a long flight. A week's worth of frozen breastmilk stayed frozen (with a bag of ice and 6 ice packs) for 12 hours! None of the ice bag leaked out (although it was a puddle on the inside), and I am so impressed. The top pocket was perfect for storing the hands-free pumps, packs of empty milk storage bags, pump cleaning cloth, and a coverup so I could express milk on the flight. The side water bottle pockets even held a 32-ounce waterbottle easily. For those mammas wanting more details, I pumped 3-6 ounces every 3 hours for 7 days. It was a total of 50 frozen breastmilk bags (each day I asked the hotel staff to store the milk bags in their freezer so it would all be frozen solid by the time I flew back—I put all the milk in gallon-sized ziploc bags to keep them all together and clean in the hotel freezer). It was a 7-hour flight plus travel time through two large airports. I needed something that would be easy to carry through the airport, stow as a medical device carry-on, and walk a couple miles with, and I wasn't about to deal with some dumb sidebag that weighs one shoulder down. So I went the backpack cooler route with the portable hands-free MomCozy M5 Wearable Breastpump, and it made the trip so much easier. It was pretty heavy with milk and didn't quite fit under the seat, so I kept a pump and a couple storage bags with me and stowed it in the plane's overhead carry-on compartment.

Might be better for you than it was for me.

good for amusement parks
We used this on a 7 day Disney trip and it worked great for us. Held enough stuff for lunch and about 4 bottles of water plus my hydro jug water bottle on the outside pouch. Kept everything pretty cool and the inside plastic is wipeable. Straps are comfortable. I prefer to wear a t-shirt or something that covers my shoulders and upper arms because the mesh straps rub and irritate exposed skin. Overall happy with the purchase.

its better than i expected a backpack cooler to be
i bought this specifically for paddle boarding, which I've done close to 20 times already this year with this backpack cooler with me every single time, it still looks great, is super simple and a great size to account for a full day and still not be too large. i use frozen water bottles and packs for my ice, its simpler and i have fresh cold drinking water if and when i need it and no melt. but i imagine it will hold ice well at first, but the plastic liner is going to end up with some small puncture over time from bottle caps and what not, so i do think it wouldn't leak at first but will at some point, so i wouldn't leave this in a car on a road trip full of ice, but i wouldn't do that with any soft cooler. a 20 minute trip to the beach and back and i think the backpack would absorb that bit of water decently and dries pretty quick

A cool idea that works really well
The media could not be loaded. I have several backpacks made by Nevo Rhino that I am very happy with and so I decided to try this cooler backpack. We go to the beach quite often and a normal cooler is a pain to carry especially on a fairly long walk. I find this to be much better.I am very happy with the quality of materials and the excellent construction. The design is good. The materials are good quality. It has a large main compartment which can easily hold a case of beer if that is what you are into. For us it holds drinks and sandwiches for the whole family with room to spare which is perfect. The main compartment is lined with a waterproof liner. I don’t think you can fill it with ice and expect it not to leak but those frozen cubes work just fine and any condensation stays in the bag. It has reasonably good insulation. It won’t keep things as cold as a high end cooler but it does a good job and much better than an un-insulated backpack. For us the tradeoff between ease of carry and super good insulation is fine.It is quite comfortable even with a heavy load. Great idea. And a great price.

Lunch/beach
This is a great pack for lunches and a beach day. It has lasted well over a year, fits a bottle of bubbles and plenty of room for some snacks. The multiple pockets are handy and it hasn’t had any major leaks; although, I do bag my ice. It does sweat though, so if you have ice can’t leave it on a floor without something under it. A waist strap would be nice for hiking or long walks down a beach.
