Good for the price
Not as bright as I wanted but a lot better than the 1 I purchased for 130. Definitely a bigger bang for my buck. Also got more options.

Crap
Total crap. Won’t focus properly. Has no internal battery so it need to be plugged in all times. Threw it in the trash.

The coolest!
I had fairly low expectations but y’all, this thing is so cool! It comes with several ‘slides’ that you can change out for different scenery. The room that I tried it out in wasn’t even dark, yet the projection was bright and colorful. I’m like super excited over this lol. I plan to hook it up outside under our covered pergola when we have guests over and let it light up the entertaining area as well as put on a show. DO NOT look directly into the projector when hooking it up lol you WILL see spots for like 10 minutes or more. The projector has a timer as well as a button that you can push and the imagery will ohhhh so slowly rotate, making it feel like you’re laying under the stars watching a time lapse. This would be super fun in a kids bedroom. This big kid is going to have a ball with it. As long as it holds up I would say $40 is definitely a fair price.

Nice Projector with limited use
This projector is easy to set up and use. One problem, though, is the room has to be virtually completely dark to see a clear image. Secondly, I was interested in projecting onto a bedroom ceiling. It's not possible to put this on a wall shelf or bedside stand because to get a good image on the ceiling it has to be no more than 5 ft from the ceiling and has to be pointed straight up. If you try to project at an angle, which is necessary from a wall shelf, the image is blurry. To get a good, sharp image on the ceiling, and get it close enough (5 ft), I had to attach it to a telescoping stand that could be put in the middle of the room and get the projector closer to the ceiling. Projecting on a wall or front door is fine but that's not where you expect to see stars and galaxies. With these limitations, it works well projecting the image, rotating, and shutting off automatically.

Planetarium Projector
Using the planetarium projector with my kids was a great experience. All the disks have a bit of information on the cases that I read to them before putting the slides into the projector. Some of the images on the disks were taken from the Hubble Space Telescope. Most of the images are very clear and vivid.I like that there is little to no light bleed from the images. To get the best experience, there were a few things that I had to do. First, I used an extension cord to place the projector in the middle of the room and on the floor. Doing this increased the range of the images so that it covered a larger portion of the ceiling. Second, I used the focus knob on the projector to make sure that each of the slides were clear. We have other projectors in the house, but this is our first planetarium projector. I love astronomy, and I would've loved to have this as a kid. This turned out to be more of an educational tool.

Such a neat projector that will satisfy any kid curious about space
I was impressed by this projector. My son had other light projectors, but nothing as unique as this. This came with ten slides that differentiated from one another enough to make each feel exciting. It's straightforward to set up. There is a slot the slides go in, and that's it! Each slide has its case too. Instead of so many cases, I wish one fits them all (like a gaming cartridge organizer), but I'm glad these come with something to protect the slides when not in use.The projections are very detailed and colorful and have an array of colors. It would be best if you angled the projector to fit your needs in the room best. So play around with it before judging the images you'll see. This is an excellent gift for any child under 13 or so.
