Excellent steps
Install was ok. Routing harnesses was tedious but doable. Everyone can get in and out easily and loves them. 2.5 lift with 37 inch tires. 29 inches to door threshold opening. 15 inches from ground to step surface and 14 inches from step to door threshold. Comfortable. 5 inches ish wide. LEDs are bright. Motors are not silent but very good. I’m 230 and they don’t flex.

Great product. Install was easy just take your time and watch a video as the instructions are worthless.

Quality product
I've had these side rails installed for about a week now. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, so for me, this was only a 3 out of 10 on the difficulty scale and took me approximately three and a half hours to complete the install. The instructions are good except for the rear spacers that have to be installed when you put the rear motors onto each side. Watch the YouTube installion video before the install. Wiring harness is good can be tough to install underneath the jeep, they could have given you longer tie wraps that would go all the way around your frame under the jeep when securing the wiring harness. I bought the 14 inch tie wraps at a local hardware store before the install. The step lights are very bright and work very well, make sure you position them properly, I installed lights to the center of each door also, when plugging the harness in to the control box, make sure the light leads are in the correct position as mine were backwards and didn't work until I switched the light leads around. As far as operation, they work flawlessly, they are a little noisy, but you can also use that slight nois as an indicator to make sure that your steps have gone back into the up position so when you drive away you know you're good. All in all, they look great solid performance so far. I'll give it 4 stars for now, and will update in a few months if all goes well, this will be a 5 star review....

Well pleased
Good delivery and all the parts were delivered. Installation was okay. The steps look great on the jeep. These are little noisy when they go up and down but I was aware they would. I am very satisfied with the product.

If you aren't mechanical gifted get an install
I'm at 8 hours and I'm still not finished. I installed competition level car Audio for a decade and used half the "tricks in my bag" to get this almost finished. The directions are terrible. Discard them when you open the box and don't waste your time. They have a YouTube video of an install, watch that a follow along with the video. The video makes everything looked easy, it isn't. Most areas wiring is required are in incredibly tight and difficult spots. Example the video casually tells you to run the power cables to the battery. Seems like a 5 minute easy job, right? NOPE! It's easily a thirty minute job because the space between the battery and firewall is about the size of the fuse protectors on the wiring harness. This type of difficulty is everywhere you turn with the install. I could go on and on.Can you do it, yes but it is an incredible pain in the rear to install. This is coming from someone who loves to work on cars and has zero hesitation pulling cars apart. It's not Rough Country's fault. It's how Jeep designed the vehicle. Get an install if you aren't ambitious and skilled.

Updated Boards Correct Prior Flaws
I had read other reviews where folks complained that the motors were shipped closed and that the steps did not have a delay when you close the doors and it folds up. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the motors in fact came open, and there is now a delay on the boards rising back up! There's also no wire stripping involved like some other kits, and even though getting the magnet wiring tucked into the trim was tedious, the final product looks great and works perfectly. Very happy with the kit overall

WATCH THE YOUTUBE INSTALLATION!!! (and throw the written instructions out!)
The steps are great, the written instructions are NOT great to say the least.Find the installation video on YouTube, it is far more useful. Main point - finish the wiring BEFORE mounting the steps to the motors, it gives you a lot more room to work.If you want a super clean install, start by removing both front seats, and the carpet under them. This will give you access to routing the cables from the passenger side to the driver's side inside, under the seats, instead of going underneath on the crossmember, and under the carpet at your feet for the switch. On my 2024 JLU, I ignored the instructions and ran the cable into the cab through a hole under the passenger seat that was covered by a big cap that was glued in. I pulled it out and used a big grommet to seal the hole.I also ignored the instructions to run the door switch wires over the pinch welds to behind the trim. I cut the wires, drilled holes in the pinch welds, used grommets, and re-soldered the wires on the other side. Super clean and far less likely to get broken, definitely worth the few extra minutes. For the on/off switch, I mounted it directly in the plastic dash instead of using the the cheesy stick on bracket it came with, where you would see the wire. Use a drill to start a hole, then spend a few minutes with a file to make it square. For the wiring between motors, use a drill (1/4" or so) to make a hole next to the existing big holes in the body and run your wire ties through them for a clean and tight install.Neither the written nor video instructions mention the little shims in the kit, but they are for adjusting the motor mounting back some to get the steps closer to the body, I needed them on the back motors only but it helps the fit.
