Excellent quality product
This is an excellent product and very well built, much studier than any other I have seen. Yes, it does take time to assemble and the hand tools supplied are small so a bit hard to work with, but I find the other negative comments are not valid, at least not anymore. It is packed in 3 boxes (not 2 as some reviews have stated), 2 for the composter and one for the cart. The metal parts are each covered with a plastic bag so they are protected in shipment. The only parts that are thin are the barrel sections but they are very well reinforced with internal ribbing. The hardware could be stainless or of other higher quality but it is near impossible to break them, as one complaint said, when assembling unless using power tools, and applying hand pressure with the small supplied hand tools. My one complaint is there is no latching mechanism to keep the doors shut so it will be easier for raccoons, opossums, and other animals to get into the vegetables. Here are my suggested additions to the instructions:- Add a tip: The small hex wrench (allen key) does make tightening parts hard on your fingers when using it for so many parts. While a work glove would make assembling the screws and nuts hard to do, it will help avoid sore fingers to put one on while tightening them.- It should add a tip novices that for each step to not tighten each screw as they are put in. But first, get all screws in place loosely so you can move the parts around in order to align the other screws. Then after all are in place, go back and tighten them.- Add a tip for novices of using a hex wrench - to insert the long end of the hex wrench first to quickly snug up screws, then insert the short end and use the longer end to get leverage to tighten them.- Step 4 & 5 should say to leave the screws loose so you can move the part in the next step.- Step 6 (imho the hardest step) should have these sub-steps. a) Get the divider in position with the small flanges inside the barrel that holds it. b) Pull the barrel closed with the divider in the proper position with the flanges. (You cannot really move it up or down as the existing tip says.) c) Now pull the barrel closed. d) Insert the top and bottom screws first in order to hold the barrel closed while you do the center screw, but don't tighten them yet. e) Place the nut in the closed end of the spanner (called a wrench in the US) to hold it while inserting the center screw. f) Only tighten it part way. Too much and you may not be able to get the spanner out. g) Change to holding the nut with the open end of the spanner. h) Tighten the center screw, then tighten the top and bottom screws. i) Now, tighten the screws from steps 4 & 5.

Well made, Good instructions
The composter looks fine. Assembly was what I expected, mild swearing required at times. The composter instructions were rather good.It is a 2-person job. The side panels flatten a bit in shipping and you need some one to push to get the last connection done on the barrel. The gear lock that keeps the tumbler rotating in only one direction, doesn't store in an unlock position.Minor design issue. The cart's instructions and hardware had gotten hidden behind a flap. Found them when recycling the box! Good Luck to all

Said, easy turning composter
This composter does take a few hours to assemble...especially if by yourself. The enclosed tools work but recommend a 8mm socket for the stand bolts as they must be tight. You also will need a flathead screwdriver to attach the ends. The unit spins easily and I moved it to our garden using a hand truck after assembly without an issue. The nob on the part that is to hold the part up so it will spin freely in either direction would not catch. I used a plastic spacer and attached it to the nob and now it will hold when snapped on to handle. Overall very pleased and looking forward to my first batch of compost. Time will tell how it will do in hot summers and freezing winters.

After 2 months I'm still impressed with it
I like that it is a good solid product. All of the holes are drilled correctly; all of the hardware needed was there; additional fasteners were included and identified as being extra. The assembly took some time and, the instructions in one place seemed ambiguous. However, the written instructions combined with the video instructions did the trick. This seems to break down compostible material much faster than my stationary compost bin where I had to turn the material by hand periodically. We are going into winter here now so I won't be adding to the bin again until spring. I'll see how well it winters. I have never purchased anything before made in Oz, but I would certainly do so again. This company has much better quality control than I have found with "most" Chinese manufacturers. If you can't buy American, this is the next best thing.

Well made, easy to assemble and easy to use!
Quality construction. When the item is assembled it definitely has an above average, premium look and feel. My wife loves the easy to turn nature of being able to just use the crank handle instead of flipping a compost pile with a pitchfork. Nice to have the dual chambers so you can have two different chambers (one cooking, and the other ready for waste addition). The tumbler also processes compost quickly. our first batch is almost completely broken down after only three weeks. We also like the larger capacity for our suburban garden. The Riverstone Industries Tumbler, unlike many of the smaller units, is big enough to handle both our kitchen and yard waste composting needs. So far it's been a great purchase experience. My only question left is longevity. If it doesn't last I will edit this review but my wife and I both give it 5 stars for now!
