Excellent product for acacia wood. I bought a bistro set that was untreated acacia wood and since it will be outside partially uncovered in the warmer months, I needed a good treatment for it. I should have taken a before pic, but it helped enhance the natural beautiful wood color and texture. Very easy to apply with a brush and rag, no strong odor and after 2 applications, I think it will be helpful to protect from weather this season.

As you go through reviews you’re going to come across some complaints. The issues many are facing are not due to the product, it is due to user errors. It may help to do some research on using pure tung oil. You’re supposed to let it soak in for around 20-60 minutes and then remove off all the excess oil on the item with a cloth until it feels almost dry and repeat that process every 12-24 hours (if I were you guys, I would opt for 24 hours between coats). If it’s sticky or tacky still after 24 hours, you didn’t remove the excess oil; it’s supposed to be thin layers NOT thick. It also does help to know that it can take up to 7-15 days for it to totally dry and 30 days in total to cure entirely. There is nothing wrong with this product, just make sure you know what you’re doing first.

This is the second time I've purchased the Godora Pure tung Oil. I used it on two pieces of furnature and it applies easily, penetrates and seals for a beautiful finish. Two coats, then some paste wax for a long lasting finish. It's food grade, so this second jug will be going on several cutting boards that I'm making for Christmas presents! Good product, highly recommend.

Update:Godora contacted me and offered a refund. They’ve also assured me that this is 100% Tung oil and is in fact, food safe. I suggested that they update the packaging to make it clear that it is. I just can’t put anything on my products that could harm my own customers and they understood that. It’s been several years since a company has reached out to address the concerns left in a review. Seems like they actually care. I wish I would’ve contacted them first. That’s a rule of mine to address the issue with the proper staff or manager before leaving bad reviews. They often don’t know and can’t fix issues if they aren’t addressed and it isn’t fair to leave bad reviews without them making it right first. So I will update my rating for them.The description says food safe but nowhere on the label does it state that it is. In fact, it says “WARNING! Can not edible. Avoid direct contact with children.” Whatever that means. It’s also a product of China. So who knows if it’s even really Tung oil. It’s probably sewer grease since that seems to be a huge black market industry there. This may be fine for things that don’t come into direct contact with food but that’s what I bought it for.

This is a premium oil to complete the wooden bases of my artwork and adds a wonderful sheen and color to the wood root bases on my sculptures. A bit expensive but it surpasses all other oils I have used. I will be back for more.

This saved our cutting board and brought it back to life.We use our cutting board daily and hadn't been good about oiling it on a regular basis. I purchased this to save us from getting another one and I'm so glad I did!It is a process to use this correctly (and I highly recommend following their instructions!) and it's worth it waiting a few weeks to get through it.I will say this product does have a strong smell. I was able to put it in a room we aren't in often during the curing process. The smell will dissipate with regular use and washing once you are done with the multistep process.I highly recommend using this as soon as you purchase a new cutting board. It is better than any mineral oil out there!
