Reduced CPU temp by 10c compared to arctic silver
7900X runs hot! When benchmarking using cinebench I'd reach temps as high as 102c. After replacing with this I'm now seeing it cap at 90.3c CPU die average as recorded in HWinfo64. 95c is max CPU rating

Used this on my msi laptop
Have to say even from the start it was 10 degrees cooler than mx-9 which was a high rated product . Found this one me to be alot better

My first time repasting a laptop, went pretty well, really helped with the CPU temps
One of my kids has been wearing the heck out of the gaming laptop we have been letting him use. Its a circa late 2018 Acer Nitro 5. Getting a bit long in the tooth, but its been holding up. He has been saying it has been running a lot hotter this summer and shutting down due to thermal problems or crashing. My pasting experience was all on desktop towers way back like 17 plus years ago, when I used to build them and occasionally upgrade or replace motherboards and processors. But the principle is the same. Take apart the laptop, find and loosen the screws for the heatsink / fan combo. lift up and lay over the heatsink/fan.Wipe off the old paste from the CPU, GPU, and the spots on the heatsink where they contact with paper towels, remembering to keep grounding yourself on the metal of the chassis whenever you return to the laptop. The old paste will probably slightly crumbly and not very past like anymore if you are needing to re do the thermal transfer material. Once you get it cleared up, I like to use q-tips to get all the smaller gunk off. Then use an alcohol cleaning pad (two are included) to wipe down the tops of the cpu/gpu and the heat shrink. Then I buff the surfaces with q-tips to get them gleaming. Apply just a small pea size of thermal paste right on the center of the cpu and gpu. Then carefully align the heatsink directly overhead and carefully lower back into place and screw everything back together. This worked out very well, the CPU temps dropped down very noticeably (that was the problem, the CPU was the one spiking more than the GPU) and the GPU temps dropped down some too. Kid is so happy and back to gaming with his friends. I recommend, good thermal paste and easy to work with.

Handy kit for a beginner wanting Kryonaut
This kit comes with what you need if you're never re-pasted before. Wipes to get the old paste off, a spatula for spreading, and of course the tube of paste with the special applicator. The applicator tips are interesting because they let you spread while applying, which encourages using the right amount while also saving the little bit of paste left over on a spatula when spreading manually. That is a new method to me, but I think the concept is sound. After you've done a lot of applications, you develop preferences for different purposes. It can be a personal decision, but I generally tend toward a single center dot for older CPUs with square dies, a line along the top following the direction of the long rectangular dies or the early side-by-side dies of some Intel parts, and a full-coverage spread for modern chiplet-style CPUs and for bare-die GPUs and laptops. This kit supplies the tools to complete any of those. The Kryonaut paste included in the kit is a well-known variety with lots of data available online, so this review is more about the convenience of the kit. In practical terms, a fresh application of just about any kind of thermal paste will provide a big improvement over old, dry, cracked paste that no longer makes good contact.

My go-to thermal paste now comes in a kit!
I've used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste for the last several years on my personal PC components, and the components I work on for others. At the time I first used the paste, it dropped my CPU temps significantly, especially during peak power. I was so impressed with the CPU results that I opened up all my crypto-mining GPU's and repasted them. Those results were even better. Some GPUs actually had temps drop by 12-15 degrees at load. Crazy!!This kit seems to be made for Intel's newest 12th and 13th generation CPUs. I say this because this kit comes with a spreader, which makes it easier for you paste every portion of the enlarged CPUs. Previously to now, CPU's were smaller and a dab of paste here and there would've covered the CPU sufficiently. Not so these days. Trust me. :( I took apart my 12500k and applied the thermal paste in a nice, even layer on the CPU. I was actually able to use less of the paste because I could be confident the CPU was covered without layering on too much product. Score.I'll never not use a paste spreader again! This kit is absolutely the money, and I continue to recommend Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste. Great stuff!

The King of Thermal Paste
I have worked with computers, building and repairing them, for 20+ years. I have used nearly every major brand of thermal paste on the market, all to find a large variance in their overall effectiveness. What I have ultimately come to find is that Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut can't be beat as far as thermal conductivity and ease of use.Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut has a thermal conductivity rating of 12.5W/m-k (watts per meter-Kelvin) which stands to be the single highest thermal conductivity value I can find anywhere on the market. It stands true in the use of the product, as I'm able to rejuvenate overheating laptops and desktops to newfound speeds by cleaning up the fans and applying this paste. The quicker your cooling solution can wick away heat from your CPU, the better your overall performance is going to be. Having a thermal compound that can facilitate an expedient transfer of heat to your fan or water cooling is a critical factor in building and maintaining high performance systems. There simply is no other paste as effective as Kryonaut in doing so.Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is no less than the ideal solution for a thermal compound for your laptop or desktop. It is the only paste I will use if I have the choice.
