Q: The description says it's 1/4" thick, but several reviewers say it's 1/8" or that it is too thin for regular push pins. Can anyone confirm?

The initial description says they are 3/8" thick, but they are barely 1/4" thick. No you cannot use standard push pins, unless you never plan to reuse the wall underneath without having to refinish it. They do not come with enough adhesive to put all 8 up, and even then they are flimsy.

Q: Will the adhesive ruin my wall when the cork boards are removed?

My boards never fell off. They stuck very well during the time we had them up in our home classroom, but when it was time for us to move last October. Sheeeesh. The adhesive sticks so well it never came off. We had to sand and repair the wall. 😭

Q: Is this 1/8" thick as some say or 1/4"?

It appears many people didn't do very good in math. It states they are 3/16" which is right between 1/8 and 1/4

Q: will I need additional adhesive to place cork tiles on plywood rectangular column (hiding drain pipe)?

Yes, they did not come with an adhesive backing and the adhesive strips don't work. To attach to plywood, I might use Gorilla Glue or maybe an epoxy. Good luck :)
