The real deal in carbolic soap, it has the right ingredients in the bar. So many claim they are carbolic soap but it's just added smell with another kind of disinfectant. A lot of this has to do with legislation though.However nothing beats this soap as a hand wash that disinfects and kills germs. This is my go to product for cleaning my hands. I love the smell too, reminds of the weekends I spent at my Grandmother's house during my half terms on the south coast. Sea breeze and Carbolic soap, good times.

That is the only reason I purchased it, as it was one of her favourite soaps. according to historians. Then I read how she used it because she battled depression and sometimes would not bathe for months.This soap is brilliant, it cleans effectively, perfect hand wash and body wash. Is not harsh on the skin, very strong unique smell. Fills the room and house. As it’s a solid soap it lasts longer than a liquid antibiotic soap so, I would buy it again .

If like me you like the aroma this is mild but it's there

The familiar smell of carbolic, the real smell. It permeates the whole house if you are using. It feels nice and fresh on the skin- that squeaky clean way without drying it. I recommend and will def be purchasing again. 5* Good value for money with 3 bars.

Its ok but not like the carbolic soap of old; weak fragrance

Never used carbolic soap for yearsYou never seem to see this soap in any of the shops now for some reason until I came across it on amazon websiteUsed this soap having a shower my body felt nice and clean leaving a pleasant smell and did not have any affect on my skin whatsoeverI highly recommend this soap and will purchase more in the future

Smells like a cross between dettol and germolene! Proper carbolic soap which is great for a range of skin problems. I like that this soap has no unnecessary ingredients to irritate and because of that it is pure and natural and less likely to cause reactions. We used to use it in the hospitals years ago and it was so effective at killing all types of bacterial and fungal infections. Both my parents and grand parents used it all their lives with no problems and they always had good skin. It was sold everywhere in the UK until the EU banned its production, deeming it to be an irritant, which was utter rubbish! This soap can be safely used on the face and body, it’s not just for hands and the scent is natural.
