Excellent kitchen unit
If I’d not got this on reading some not so positive reviews I would have missed out on this great edition to my kitchen. It’s sturdy, easy to put together, I did it alone and I’m 67, the stainless steel top is heavy and durable, I absolutely love it. Highly recommended, I don’t have to have a bin showing in my small kitchen, I can use the top for baking, I can wheel it to near my cooker and use the workspace for dishing up when I have visitors. It is well worth the money. Brilliant. Ps I used wood glue on the dowlings to keep it firm once built, glue not included. Linda xx

Nice once its assembled
Nice once the build is complete but the instructions for the bin storage brackets are not clear. Im only using the bin storage for recycling as not sure it would hold up with everyday waste, it seems a little flimsy. Took 5.5 hours to assemble. labeled pieces were really helpful, and some screws were missing which held things up trying to find replacements. Seller was helpful. Overall not a bad bit of extra kitchen storage.

Looks fab/great value for money.
Perfect for what I need it for. Looks fab and is very sturdy, and heavy. No breaks on wheels but you do not need them. Very hard to push over carpet. Build it in living room and then when finished pushed into kitchen. It will move easier over vinly. The weight on its own stops it from running away from you. I love it.

Great addition to any kitchen!
I have had this product for almost a year and it still looks as good as the day I bought it! After seeing what else was on the market, it appears that the competitors offer cheap alternatives in the same price range. Customer services were excellent too, very helpful and prompt to reply.A quick point about the stainless steel top. When it comes to cleaning it, so long as you only use a small amount of dish washing liquid on a sponge to clean it, wash it off with clean water and dry it with a dry tea towel, the stainless steel will remain in perfect condition.

Most definitely not "designed for longevity"
The trolley is OK, but given the price and the misleading marketing copy I would not buy this again. It is a time-consuming build and when I was done putting it together found out that all of the metal bars for the spice rack they sent me were the wrong size. After contacting the seller they did send me the correct pieces in a timely manner. The real problem though is how cheap it is made and feels. The backing and all of the sides are pretty thin and flimsy but worst of all the stainless steel top is as cheap as could possibly be. To be honest, I would have been happy with it if the top was made to last but it most certainly is not.You can see in the pictures that it isn't even stainless steel, but just a very thin coating which with very little wear and tear, wears off. It's very disappointing because if you really love to cook it's great to have a stainless steel top, mixing and rolling out dough, prepping meat (and easily sanitising), using a cutting board to do prep. But it's really not suitable for any of those things with how quickly it wears out.So, if you're interested in buying this, like me, because you want to have a great surface to use in your cooking adventures. Take a pass.

Poor quality at premium price
For this kind of money, I was not expecting the low-quality chipboard laminate I got. This thing is £120 too expensive, its probably worth around £140 total.1. The manufacturing process is poor, with the chipboard splitting along the seems where they have drilled.2. There are multiple minor scuffs and damage that you can tell was from poor QA at the point of packaging, rather than damage in transit.3. Screw pack C was not labeled, sadly you need them at the beginning, so you have to build it to see whats left to find out what they were.4. instructions wrong. the pull out "bid" drawe shows clearly that you put the door mounting arms with the fold inward, when in fact you need them outward.5. it says 50 minute build time, it takes 30 minutes to get all the bits out the box and the other 20 to work out whats, what!6. It took about 2 hours after that, with an electric screwdriver to speed things up.7. I dont trust the tiny screws for the bin door, especially if that had the weight of a bin behind it, with the cheap chipboard laminate and those screws, if this door hasn't fallen off in 2 months i'd be very surprised. as this is most likely the most used component.8. The visible joins in the draw fronts etc, are not accurate and show poor build.9 Dowling supplied is 2mm too small for a snug fit in the hole.10. no extra strength from wood glue provided...come on what 20p for an extra sachet of wood glue cut into the profits?in short...dont buy it! until its £99 then you'll be getting something as cheap as you'd expect

Very Good Kitchen Island
Not quite that easy to assemble but well worth the effort, certainly complements our kitchen. Having used the island for a couple of weeks I find that the waste bin section is a 'waste of space' only wish it had been more shelves and will look to modifying it.
