Works as intended.
It's a speaker for your computer motherboard. You plug it in (the right way) and it makes sound. The wires are stiff enough that you can aim the speaker where you want, and its small enough to keep out of the way. No, it's not good for playing Beethoven or Gansta Rap, it's just to let you hear diagnostic codes when there's a problem with your PC.Why case manufacturers don't include one with every model is incomprehensible.

Can't believe I had to buy this.
At some point I must have either lost or misplaced one of my MOBO speakers. Since I regularly OC and swap out parts in my systems, I needed this speaker for POST codes. A couple of my boards have read outs but nothing beats that quick, sharp beep when you first boot a new system. The sound of victory - kind of. Actually, the beep is more convenient for me.Speaking of the beep, that's all it is. Nothing more and nothing less. One suggestion, when buying a new MOBO and/ or case, check the online manuals to see if a speaker comes with the parts. I blame myself for loosing the speaker but it is just as likely that I bought something that did not come with one. Some boards will have them built in.Since it was so cheap and small, it had to be purchased with other items. I ended up buying two cases of toilet paper. My wife thought that was stupid but, overall, it was cheaper to purchase the TP in bulk that way then by piecemeal at the store.Would be cool if the single beep could be replaced with something more interesting. Old car horn? General Lee horn? Scream? If you are a small business system builder, I would buy this in bulk.

Small and handy- peace of mind
A cheap speaker for your motherboard- it is what it is, haha. Its very tiny, and doesn't make the same loud beep that your usual in-the-case speakers usually make. More like a high pitched hum/buzz. I actually don't hear it unless I'm listening for it, which is good to me. I only need to hear it when there's a problem with bootup. Incredibly easy to install (less than 5 seconds).Very handy to have when you're having computer startup issues, and 1 will work fo many computers, since its so easy to install.Very happy to have it, and the peace of mind that comes with ability to know whats malfunctioning in future boots.

Must Have for ALL PC Builders
First let me say that ([...]) got my order to me in less than a week, from the west coast to the tip of Cape Cod, MA , using standard shipping, excellent job. The item: PC Internal Mini Onboard Speaker is just what I needed. This little speaker (beeper) will save you lots of time and effort, if there are any problems with your PC build. Something as simple as not properly seating a graphics card could result in lots of time wasted looking for the problem. This speaker will make a series of "beeps" , those can be found at the motherboards website or forums, If not do a search for your EXACT model # of motherboard and "POST CODES". Each beep sequence is different and will tell what component is having a problem. Some motherboards have a speaker mounted on the board its self and some PC cases have them included but for the rest of us this little part is a MUST HAVE and [...] is a great place to get one from! Thank You [...] and good luck to all the PC builders out there! Joseph W. aka WaterRabbit, Cape Cod, MA, USA, EARTH

Wires disconnected on arrival
When the speaker arrived today i was excited to be able to troubleshoot my computer. However, when i removed the speaker from the packaging both wires were disconnected from the speaker. The cheap solder did not hold up and disconnected. Since I do not have a soldering iron I can't fix it myself without spending more than the part is worth. Sadly it isn't even worth it to try to return.
