I haven't figured out a good way of breaking off chunks of this to hydrate yet as it's so dense but this is very good quality coco peat. It just feels luxurious. Clean and soft with just the right amount of fibrous-ness.

This is a great medium for plants! i do a 50/50 mix of regular soil and this stuff. the water retention is amazing. super easy to “use” all you have to do is drop it in a bucket of water and come back 30 mins later to break it up. love it

These little compressed bricks turn into a lot of useable planting material. My plants and seed starts just love this stuff. I place one brick in a cooler and add water. I then use a trowel or small scraper to break it up. Add only as much water as you need and it will keep for months in said cooler. Great stuff

This was one of the better coconut fibers that I tested from Amazon. It’s still not as clean and pH balanced as I want it to be. This tested at 1.3 EC, 5.5 pH, slowly running distilled water through it and collecting the initial drainage. I’d like to see EC that’s half that much and pH closer to 6.0, but it is better than five others I tested on Amazon.

This worked very well for germinating seeds. The texture was good. Almost a gallon of water perfectly hydrated the brick. The texture is perfect for seeds and holds water very well. The extra that I didn't use was left on a bucket in my garage and was still wet after 2 months. Once planted in this coir, I recommend using water with a cupful of hydrogen peroxide, particularly if using a heat matt. With the consistent warm moisture, white mold likes to take over and will kill the seed. Mist on a sprayer with the peroxide water to maintain moisture and humidity.

Good stuff sinks quick.... Use it for my fishtanks aquariums.
