Works well

One thingn to consider is wearing gloves while using to prevent hand injuries.

This works well for cutting stone for jewelry but you have to be careful of tension you put on it because wire will snap in two. I had to order a heavier wire weight to cut more dense stones. It does not work well on metals unless you are using a very heavy wire weight.

I strung a piece of this wire on a jewelers hand saw and attempted to cut a stone. While it was very effective it wasn't long before I was trying to cut with mere piano wire as the diamond coating was gone before getting only a small fraction of the cut completed. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product and will never consider purchasing it again. It is not at all worth the money.

Whenever I try to cut any metal, the diamond layer strips off of sections of the wire very quickly. It is not bonded to the wire adequately. When this occurs it renders the length of wire basically useless. Using some Subrilli brand 0.6mm superfine diamond wire I purchased, I have yet to see any of the diamond abrasive stripped off of the wire. Also the thinner guage doesn't break any easier than this 1mm wire. I wouldn't purchase this brand of diamond cutting wire again.
