Condenser Kit For Tumble Dryers

I bought this item for my wife as we had our tumble dryer, first in the garage and then in the conservatory, with dust EVERYWHERE.I had my doubts.NO MORE!This item is so simple and so well thought out, I don't know why I didn't look for it earlier. I didn't know the solution to all the dust and moisture in the garage and conservatory had been solved.Well worth the money. Five Stars. Elegant in its simplicity and simple in its operation.I thought I may have had to fill the water in the container regularly, making it difficult to maintain, but not so!One fill of the container has lasted a month with water still in it, and it has collected the dust as well.If you have your tumble dryer anywhere in your house, and have to poke the pipe out of a window so as not to collect dust and condensation, then this product is excellent for overcoming that. And it is CHEAP!!I can recommend this absolutely. I like it and so does my wifeThis is an honest and genuine report

I bought this as a replacement for a bulky and inconvenient condenser which used ice blocks, and I am very impressed.This condenser is much more compact and can be tucked away between the washer and dryer when not in use; it is quick and easy to assemble and connect; and as it uses cold water instead of ice it is more convenient to use, with no wasted time or freezer space.It does produce some steam (I think this is inevitable with any type of condenser kit), but much less than its ice-block predecessor - and it was considerably less expensive to buy too.

Read all the reviews prior to buying and was impressed, but not so sure now. Space means my tumble dryer is in the spare room and the only window close enough to take the external hose is a big one which meant letting a lot of cold air in. Hence my decision to purchase this product, and, although have had it a few weeks, used it for first time today. The room is fairly large, but still felt warm with the amount of hot air blowing out of the vent on the unit. Took on board the feedback, and used cold water from fridge, but the windows still got steamed up, despite fact it was only on for about 40 minutes as was finishing off drying washing that had been outside on the line. Someone did suggest you still needed to have a window open so maybe will try that next time. There was no obvious increase in the amount of water in the unit, but will need to empty each time as it wouldn't be that cold otherwise. Had it been more complicated to fit, may have thought I hadn't done it properly, but it's obvious and only one way possible. Seems I was probably expecting too much.This is an update on previous review. Have now abondoned this as complete waste of time. Basically still needed to have window open which defeated the object. Tried putting whole unit on open window ledge (so half outside), but window still got steamed up. Have now removed water tank, but have kept vented part attached as at least this gives me a more secure anchorage when putting hose out of the window!!!! Glad didn't waste any more money on the product.

This is excellent, i purchased a similar one from the store i purchased my tumble dryer from, as they recommended it, but it was useless and cost me a fortune, only lasted 6 months, so i was a bit dubious at buying another, but i need not of worried with this product, its excellent, i tried putting ice cubes in the bottom as suggested but found it made no difference, so i put very cold water in instead, and this helped with the condensation issues. The lid fits nicely into place and it clicks down on both sides to hold it in place, the hose is a good quality one too, overall i would highly recommend this product.

Recently purchased this item, when it arrived it was a lot more flimsy than I expected. It seemed smaller than expected but that was a bonus however the lid doesnt stay on properly. Someone did suggest you still needed to have a window open, but this kind of defeats the purpose of the product. I bought it as the dryer is too far away from the window to use the hose. There was no obvious increase in the amount of water in the unit, but will need to empty each time as it wouldn't be that cold otherwise. It was cheap and did arrive quickly but Its not great. Maybe I should have invested in a more expensive and bulkyer one?

The delivery was really quick for this kit which is why it has 1 x star. The box even with a small amount of water at the bottom did not help at all, I read and re-read the instructions both with the 1 x sided leaflet which came with the order as well as online (youtube videos) and nothing I did worked. A medium sized load of 2 x towels, 1 x small bath mat and a few pillow cases took over 2 x hours to dry properly! just putting the tube out the window like normal; the load would have been dried in 45 mins. Will not be bothering with one of these ever again. It was promptly thrown down the garden in frustration

Kit arrivred promptly and well packaged. There were no instructions but seemed simple enough to fit although not quite sure what to do with three plastic rings that accompanied the kit. It works well i have a little steam in evidence when dryer is i n use but not enough to cause problems and means i can use my dryer in utility instead of garage.
