Nice home cold smoker.
Just what I needed for cold smoking cheese, chocolate, almond bark, cookies, pastries, drinks, etc.. Just add a box with screen shelves of use your gas grill. Works well.

I am looking forward to using this smoke generator. It is stainless steel and seems to be well made. I converted a large bread proofer into an indoor smoker for my patio kitchen. It is vented to the outside and this smoke generator should mount easily and provide all the smoke I need. I was going to build a smoke box to mount on the side of the smoker, but this makes the job much easier.

Nice for adding cold smoke to my Master Chef cooker.
I modified an old Master Chief electric smoker to be used to smoke bacons and hams that I have cured myself. This unit does a reasonably good job, and was not hard to install. I did have problems getting it to stay lit at times, and it needs to be taken apart and the smoke tube cleaned occasionally. A good overall product though.

Instructions are not good
The media could not be loaded. Instructions suck. Have to take it apart to dump ashes. More smoke from canister than the pit. I get more smoke when pit is off. I think the pit blower causes the smoke to not enter the pit correctly.

Works better When cold smoking and doesn't work with Traeger
So I love it while cold smoking to make Lox.When I use it for Brisket the pump isn't strong enough to push the smoke through and smoke doesn't carry into the Traeger. If i lift the hood on the Traeger the smoke goes right though. Very very strange misleading product

It's a must have for a pellet grill, all stainless.
Excellent product. Great addition to a pellet grill. Quality thick stainless steel. Lights pretty well and stays lit, as with the smoke tubes I've used, a propane torch is the best aay to get it going. A full pellet chamber lasts me 8 to 10 hours or more. I usually do about 2/3 rds full and it will produce longer than I need. I used to cold smoke on my offset charcoal smoker, this or a smoke tube are the only way to do it on a pellet grill. If you are new to it or it's been a while since you could really put a nice smoke ring on your meat, fish or poltry, this will take your pellet grill to a whole new level.

Close to perfection.
The media could not be loaded. I’m going to start this review with the single flaw that I found and then we can buckle down and talk about the good stuff.The only flaw that I found was that the mounting point for this unit was clearly designed to be removable so you could in theory move it between different smoke boxes. The problem is that the heads of the bolts that were provided don’t fit through the openings in the flange. Doesn’t matter to me since I’m not planning to move it around but since it’s a selling point, it’s worth noting.I had been looking at cold smoke generators for a few months and had nearly settled on the SmokeAi unit. But I saw a single flaw in that your only option for lighting was to aim a blowtorch through two sideholes. The common reviewer complaint was that it didn’t stay lit. This unit has a perforated plate on the bottom which allows a large area to light. It worked flawlessly. I started with filling the hopper half way full, lit it up and started smoking right away. I actually dialed it back to around 50 percent air because V full throttle was way more smoke than I needed. I took an hour long nap and checked on things and found that it was only about halfway through the pellets. I figured since it was working so well in trials I’d add some meat. I put in a few pounds of chicken thighs and let those run for 2 hours and they were amazing! Then I thought that since it was lit and hot… let’s throw on a Boston butt. I refilled the hopper and went to bed. This morning, the hopper was empty, the meat was smoked to perfection and now I’m a completely satisfied customer.Excellent value for the money! Perfect taste!

Great smoker and easy to use
I have used this smoker 3 times now and I love it. Did a 2 hour smoke for salmon, a short half hour smoke for some steaks, and just got done with a 9 hour smoke for a pork shoulder.I ended up running it without the bottom cover/ash catcher and had to tap the side to get the chips to fall down but 3 refills and 9 hours later I have some wonderful pork!I did get a 3/4 inch round wire brush to clean the smoke tube as creosote is building up
