Its the best there is.
This tape does the job, it may not be the cheapest, but it is the best.Easy to remove, easy to adjust and restick, easy to apply to uneven surfaces.Any issues using this tape will be down to the user, not the product.

Much better than the cheap stuff
There is often a trade off between quality and cost - we’ve often bought cheap masking tape and for some jobs it is fine but if you want the tape edge to seal, the tape to be strong enough to put in place and remove without breaking this is the stuff to use. Worth every penny in my book.

A decline in quality?
I have used Scotch Blue masking tape before and found it utterly billiant. This "2090" stuff appears to be the nearest equivalent but it tears unpredictably and seems overall a bit thinner, less reliable.Maybe this is a different product and the one I bought before is hiding out there somewhere (cost and spec appear the same) or maybe the cost accountants have gained control over the QA/QC process again.Either way it's still good but a bit like watching a favourite band when one of the original members has been replaced by a competent but uninspiring session musician.

Essential for 3D printing when nothing else works
Simply the best. Sticky side goes on the build plate (believe it or not there are idiots that somehow use it upside down). Essential for preventing PETG ruining your build plates. It is preferable to use either glass, or the plain sheet steel side of your build plate with this.Clean both your glass / steel build plate before application, and the top of the tape after with 99% IPA and a microfibre cloth to remove fingerprint grease, and ensure a really good stick. Skip the 2nd IPA application and apply a thin film of Elmer's purple gluestick if you want to make print removal easier, or are having trouble getting PETG to stick.I tend to use the roll as a roller to make sure the tape is extra stuck. Get each strip really close together and cut off the excess. There's a misconception with the use of glue stick. Despite what people may tell you, it is both an adhesive and a stickiness regulator. A small film of it will help both make it easier to remove prints, and provide an adhesive surface for say, PETG. Too much and nothing will stick, too little and the PETG will go through the material, fusing to glass, PEI, PEY, PET etc. and sometimes, still not stick.A note to all those out there who want to protect their regular one-sided build plates from any oils that come out of your magnetic base when being put on upside down, I put some baking parchment / greaseproof paper between my S1 Plus' regular textured bed, and the magnetic base. Really helps.Universally, any problem you have with something not sticking, is the presence of oils and grease. IPA doesn't remove it, it just temporarily dissolves it until you manually remove it.For paint, yeh, it works. I use it for my cosplay but the edges don't come out too great. I'd recommend Frog Tape or Tamiya tape over this for delicate and detailed paint.

Great tape
This is exactly what you need! Don’t waste your time with cheap masking tape that doesn’t stick, or tears as you try to unroll it! This is a little dearer but much better

3M, You get what you pay for!
Simply a good product, but like all tapes regardless of what they say. Don’t leave it on for months on end.
