Rock legends Metallica captured live in performance in Quebec City in autumn 2009. The two gigs in Quebec were part of the bands 'World Magnetic Tour' and saw them play a host of their most popular songs including 'Master of Puppets', 'The Four Horsemen' and 'Enter Sandman'.

Buy it now!
If you are a Metallica fan then this is an absolute must buy. I just sat and watched this yesterday so my ears are still ringing a bit! I also own the live from Nime blu ray and I expected much of the same but in terms of musical content and a real concert experience this betters it. The Nime concert is probably a more polished release but this has the raw energy of a real enclosed venue. The band are surrounded by frenzied fans of which there is maybe a bit too much footage of but the performance is just stunning. Some of the footage looks handheld which lacks a bit of quality but the overall look is good and you have uncompressed stereo audio as well as DTS Master audio which sounds really good although the recording is only 48khz which is a bit below what blu ray is capable of. The concert is extensive but there are also bonus tracks as well which adds up to a great value disc. Take my word for it, if you don't buy this and it becomes unavailable like the Nime concert you will regret it. I loved it!!!

Brilliant!!
Another high quality dvd from the guys!!Sound, lights, stage... everything in perfect order. And, really great to find so many Death Magnetic songs in one setlist!!! We all know and love the old stuff, but their last album deffinately belongs up there with the old stuff, and this live performance prooves that!!Oh; and a goosebump moment at the end, where you see James handout stuff to a teenage boy with Down-syndrome!!Fantastic!!

Quebec Magentic is AMAZING = Fact
Metallica's Quebec Magnetic is the best live DVD I've ever watched! The quality of the sound and picture (being on Blu-ray) is second to none!I haven't had the chance of seeing Metallica live in person, but this is the next best thing! The laser show at the start is epic!If you haven't seen this, watch it, buy it!Watching the video on YouTube doesn't do it justice (haha, justice.....)

Metallica
For those who saw the Death Magnet tour a pefect way to relive whet was a great show.I saw the Birmigham NEC show and they where as good as I have ever seen them.Blu ray quality picture and sound and eight bonus tracks (the set changed most nights)makes this a compulsary purchase for any Metallica fan.

Live apocalypse!
You can't go wrong with Metallica live - everyone knows that and with 'Quebec Magnetic' they easily show they still have it in spades on stage. The set list has changed considerably for this release, which is good, with a bunch of new songs or resurrected classics thrown in like the riff-tastic 'Shortest Straw' the furious 'Whiplash' and a cover of Sweet Savage's 'Killing Time'. Of course there's a big chunk of 'Death Magnetic' thrown in and these songs sit seamlessly with the classics. It's actually quite refreshing not to have to sit through 'Creeping Death' and 'Wherever I May Roam' again! You even have to head over to disc 2 to find live favourite 'For Whom The Bell Tolls'!Visually there have been a few complaints about the uninspiring and not very well lit stage show and I would have to agree. The floating coffins serve no purpose and the lasers are distracting. Then again it's your own fault if you're watching the DVD when you should have bought a ticket and been at a live show where the stage looked awesome! This is a great reminder of why Metallica are still at the top of the metal totem in 2013 - they care about their fans and love to play live as you can tell all the way through. The passion is almost palpable from band and fans alike and this release may not be ground-breaking to old school fans but it does sweeten the taste after the disappointment brought about by last years 'Lulu' collaboration.
