Hit or miss with Inspiron 15 3511
The media could not be loaded. Seems hit-or-miss with the Inspiron 15 3511 according to my experience and other reviews.I installed this DC jack and the computer would not charge, so I unplugged the battery and the computer will not stay on unless the charger is held on a certain angle. Flashing battery indicator lights show incorrect/insufficient voltage while using a known-good Dell official 65W charger.Trying one more time (via return/replace with exact same item) and then changing brands.

Saved my laptop!
This AC adapter port was easy to swap out with the original hardware in my Dell Inspiron laptop. It is completely compatible with the computer and with the original charging cord. I was initially slightly concerned about not finding an original Dell part, but this functions exactly as the original. Power is consistent and it does not get hot or anything. This port allowed me to keep a laptop that was only about a year old going after the original port was damaged and saved quite a bit of money over paying for factory repairs or replacing the computer. It was a fast and easy and inexpensive do-it-yourself fix!

I ordered this DC input jack for a Dell 15-3511. This was an exact fit. Identical to the original. Works fine.

Close But Not Quite
Port works fine but is slightly too short to fit my dell inspiron 3000 series. I’m not an electrical engineer yet but I do work on electronics professionally every day at the #1 repair service company in the US. I feel as though they could have made this the .3cm longer to accommodate the different motherboard layout I have. Now Im left with either sending this back and buying the proper one or making this work. Im glad this was a personal project and not for one of my customers.
