This tape is nice for just about anything. I do a lot of projects by myself so the heavier end is really nice. I like that it's metal which keeps it from moving around too much as well. The plumb is wonderful for anything vertical.

Wow. This is a very specialized tape measure that comes with a heavy plumb bob for measuring petroleum in a tank. It is NOT for general construction use. There are a million better tapes for that kind of use. This is for measing innage and outage of liquid in a tank. it comes with a plumb bob machined to work kind of like an oil dip stick when measuring innage, the amount of liquid IN a tank. The heavy bob striking the floor of the tank lets you know you've reached bottom. The wire attached to the handle is for avoiding static discharge by grounding the stainless tape. The tape is stainless to protect the unit against caustic material in tanks. The markings are impressed on the stainless instead of painted on so that they won't wear off.A good gauging tape in every way.

These oil gauging tapes have everything needed for fuels and oils as the grounding clip and cable are an integral part of the tape. The tape itself is stainless with a blackish tint making the numbers stand out well. The overall build quality is very good, especially for the price point.

This works well and is very easy to use. It seems very durable and well made and I expect it to last a long time. The measurements are clearly marked and easy to read. A good tape for regular use.
