I purchased this for my laptop, as it had only a VGA quality came. Found this webcam to be well designed, and quality built. Its very compact, and the designed to be travel friendly. The detachable cable (and usb type-c to type-c support) helps the webcam to be ready to go. The physical shutter is a good functionality, and well executed keeping privacy in mind. The microphone quality is really good in action.Overall, find this to be a great buy as my laptop accessory.

For a refurb this seems like a very nice camera, it has good clear picture quality and works well with the Anker software picking it up right away and being able to configure it how I like.Used it for a few pictures and a few videos so far and had no issues with the quality of the picture or sound, I prefer to use an external mic but the built in mic sounds pretty decent for what it is as well.Very happy with the camera overall.

Good quality when working but I had to return the first unit I received due to auto focus problem hence 4 stars but I would still recommend for the quality and price.

I wanted a professional setup for Zoom calls. All cameras I previously had sucked. Either I'd need an external mic/ headset or the camera itself would be bad, quality wise.This is a lifechanger. I stopped looking for webcams. The software takes care of most situations when it comes to auto focus, auto white balance etc. I FINALLY stopped looking blue on cam in meetings. All the time I would be in a meeting, I'd have to have a bunch of orange lights around me to not look blue. This camera picks up the correct blue/orange and I look again normal and warm. When it gets too difficult, I can adjust the light from the software, but it's rare that I need to.The mic on the camera is INSANELY GOOD. Like, you don't understand how good it is until you hear it. I'm very strict, as I'm in meetings all the time and I needed it to be good. It's WAY better, way above its price tag and I don't even need external headset with a mic anymore (thankfully). What a webcam.

Firmware update kill the focus. Known problem, but no recall or replacements? Camera now doesn't focus either manually or via auto and so is essentially useless.

The video qualty is excellent and I really like the privacy button. All in all, well worth the money.

I was slightly annoyed to buy this, wanting a better camera, thinking it would obsolete my microphone (Marantz MPM-1000U). I needn't have worried, after the briefest of tests in Audacity just recording myself saying a few words with each (I'm no audiophile/sound engineer) it's night & day: the Anker's microphone (and whatever AI nonsense) is crackly and awful by comparison, probably worse than the laptop's built-in one even used from half a meter away closed & docked.The picture is good, and the built-in privacy cover is nice to have, but it doesn't disable the microphone. It should also really come with some double-sided tape or some way of securing it to your monitor: it barely sits still under the weight of the cable, you certainly can't slide the cover or adjust the tilt angle without holding it down.3* because for just a camera and having to BYO method of securing it, it's way overpriced.
