I had a small safe I hadn't used and lost the key. The keypad worked so I could open it then replaced the lock. The first lock i got from elsewhere came without a nut. The old nut was a different thread. This item comes with a nut and fitted great. Be sure to measure the depth of the lock so you buy the right one.This item was just the job.

Needed a lock to replace our caravan door compartment and it was easy to fit and really sturdy!

Bit cheap, but they are cheap. Key floppy in lock and the barrel catches when turned like one of the pins isn't quite clearing the barrel.

For the purpose that I purchased them, these locks are great. Although both keyed the same, there are differences between the two locks. One of them is much harder to pick than the other. However, this style of lock is not something that I would describe as high security. It's more of a deterrent than anything else. Using my lockpick set, I'm able to pick one of the locked in about 20 seconds, which as a beginner says alot about this style of lock. The other one is only harder because there is something about the manufacturing process which makes it run slightly differently, I can even feel this with the key, so it's probably more likely that there's a defect that's making it stick, rather than just being a better lock.
