Topeak DeFender M1/M2 Fender Set

Nice! Wasn't suitable for my electric bike in the end due to the forks being the wrong type, an oversight on my part, however the build and quality and thought that's gone in to something as simple as a set of mud guards is quite impressive.You have all the adaptability you need to fit on to most forks and the rubbery edges on ends of the mudguards will negate any scratches or sharp edges or crap clinging to them etc.They look very nice and would suit most mountain bikes. The mounting bracket for the rear guard is such an excellent bracket. Very quality feel to the whole thing.

These mud guards are very easy to fit - the rear guard clamps to the seat post, and the front guard fits into the centre column.They look ok - they don't look too out of place and don't detract from the bikes appearance.They are made from a flexible plastic and should withstand a few knocks.This pack offers excellent value for money - the same guards are available individually for about the same price as this pair.

I've fitted this mudguard combo as part of an upgrade series to my to my 'winter bike'. A TREK 6500 with 26" wheels which is used mainly for shopping tips and leisure rides along a canal tow path which I'm lucky to have near my home.The latter is a typical messy affair in the autumn and winter, worn areas being a complete mudbath, puddles a plenty and of course animal deposits. So these guards have had a pretty good workout since fitting.I'm pleased to report they work very well indeed. The width is ample for my 26" wheels and I've not incurred the stripe-of-death on my jacket or rucksacks. The front guard certainly protects the upper body, but the lower parts of the frame not so much. In saying that my feet have been dry using these so again no complaints.Fitting is a little fiddly, in particular I would recommend downloading the instruction PDF from TOPEAK's website. The front guard uses a self-tightening spiral lock. You just need to ensure you use the right combo of block to fit your frame. But once you figure this out, its absolutely rock solid.The guards do not need to be on your bike permanently, each has a quick release button leaving only the mounting assembly on the bike when you just don't want to ride with them. Overall I am very pleased with these. Quality is good, they are sturdy and work to the limit I was expecting. Recommended.

Quality set of......mudguards these. Well made, easy to fit, easy to remove and very secure when fitted. Easy to adjust to fit your favoured position although if you use them like a fireplace fender they will probably melt being made of plastic and all....They look good and do a great job of protecting your Tuxedo from the mud....coz that's what they are......mudguards in English......not fenders which are something else entirely.......unless you are American of course....who have funny names for just about everything.Well pleased with these MUDGUARDS.

These are great and work really well. They do however have a weak point and I managed to snap off the front guard as there is thin, un-reinforced plastic around the connector to the bike. Fortunately it is possible to get spare parts for these, so that is a major plus. The rear guard mount is far more sturdy.

Passar utmärkt på 29" däck och min hardtail. Enkel montering både fram och bak. Sitter fast även vid väldigt hård körning. Dock fick jag göra en specialare i framskärmen då bromsslangen tog i, se bild.

War erst skeptisch. Aber als ich die Schutzbleche in den Händen hielt war ich von der guten Qualität wirklich begeistert.Der Anbau sollte ein Kinderspiel sein. Das gute ist, das man die Vorderradbleche nach der Montage, abklipsen ..und je nach Gebrauch wieder dran machen kann ohne etwas zu montieren. Das hintere Blech lässt sich fest positionieren. Durch die 2 grossen Schrauben am Gelenkarm lässt sich der Winkel optimal einstellen.Diese Schutzbleche wirken wirklich edel... mein Bike sieht damit noch besser aus... Wie die Vorschreiber bereits geschrieben.. ich lasse meine auch immer dran.Was ich am Anfang gar nicht sofort bemerkt habe... das Vordere Schutzblech hat eine Art Doppelstecker (größeres und kleineres) die zusammengesteckt sind. Je nach dem wie dick die Rohröffnung für den Einbau ist, nimmt man das kleine oder beides zusammen.Nach 1 Monat... immer noch zufrieden und nix zu beklagen.
