Ernie Ball P02854 Super Slinky Nickel Wound Short Scale Bass Strings - 45-100 Gauge

I have fitted this set to a Gretsch Junior short-scale bass in preference to the lighter strings supplied from the factory. Because they are heavier gauge this has required some adjustments to the action and the truss rod, but the results are more than worth it -- an equally clear but far deeper and more resonant tone throughout.

Giving this five stars because I know these are good strings and my mistake should not negatively affect the overall rating. Didn't notice and just thought they where the regular size Super Slinkys.These are specifically for a Short Scale bass. If you are unsure whether your bass is short scale, then the odds are it isn't, as they are much less common. Long Scale bass' are waaay more prevalent and pretty much the industry standard.Just noticed some negative reviews on here from people who made the same mistake and thought I would try to be helpful rather than just shout "TOO SHORT! BLAAAARGH!"

Fitted to my refurbed and re-fretted 1965 Vox Clubman.

Good product.

Tried other strings but they were not as good as these: Great sound and feel.Previous strings, particularly the E string were like elastic bands compared to these.

Second set I've brought for my EB. The last set have been on the bass for at least a year and a half. Gigged reguallyand have only just started to dull a bit. with out a doubt, best strings I've used.

As all bass players know, there are several outstanding brands to choose from these days. I've certainly tried more than my fair share. But I keep circling back to the Ernie Ball Slinky Bass Strings. I'm a big fan of the feel, warm tone, durability and the price of these strings. I also appreciate how quickly these strings break in. They're definitely worth a try!

Son para un bajo de escala corta. Las cuerdas tienen una longitud menor de las normales y tienen una reducción del ancho cerca del final para poder encordarlas en un bajo corto, por lo que no te servirán en un bajo normal.Enviadas por Ernie Ball México, por lo que son originales.

Muy buenas cuerdas, el bajo suena perfectamente, Buenos graves y agudos!!!

Attention ces cordes ne vont pas sur toutes les basses, vérifiez bien que votre basse ne fait pas plus de 77cm, du bas des cordes jusqu'au sillet (diapason). Pour résumer regardez la mention sur le paquet de corde que vous achetez:Short scale = pour diapason inférieur à 77 cm,Medium scale = diapason entre 77 et 84 cm,Long scale = diapason entre 84 et 87 cm (taille standard),Extra-long = diapason supérieur à 87cm
